  1. It is the hardcover which retails at $99 and you get the Avengers 1 which also retails at $99. Both brand new. Plenty of good reading. Congrats Ryan. Thats an offering
  2. So why not let the rules work for us. If CAHokie was OK with the next guys offer, then why should anyone else be upset. Same thing with the last offerer...if he isn't bothered, why should anyone else care? If you think this thread is going to keep throwing $150+ slabs or trades around every time, and that disappoints you, then maybe this isn't the thread for you. then it should combine with the PIF thread. Thats what happened with that thread.
  3. Just so we are clear, the value of that SW pack is http://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvel-Comics-STAR-WARS-1-2-3-special-packaging-still-sealed-35-cent-issues-/181426886153?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item2a3de29609 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvel-Comics-Bronze-Age-Star-Wars-Set-3-packs-1-3-4-6-Sealed-Mint-35-cent-/331243572215?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item4d1fa7cbf7 so maybe $20 plus the rest of the poly bagged 90's books gives a grand total of $22 so, quick and probably incorrect math gives us cahokie offers $150+ at least next dude offers $75 or something last dude $22 or something. ill probably get in trouble or something and people getting upset "its about the thought" or something.
  4. This offer is complete wildly_fanciful_statement and was what I was afraid of this thread turning into. Can give me a strike or whatever. dude that is getting the slabs from me, hit up someone on here for my email address or something if I get a vacation. Am I confused? A recent SW 1 35 c sold for $2000... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Star-Wars-1-35-Cent-Variant-FN-/301194415040?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item4620960bc0 you are confused.

  6. Nevermind. I know the answer. Yup. The thread would have moved if the standing offer was great.
  7. change the rules. No mystery boxes.
  8. I know, exciting. we will pass the point of no return when people stop offering trades and hardcovers.
  9. It will work its way back down. Someone who uses guide to price will offer something, then jump in on that.
  10. i actually feel i got the better deal my wife likes the scottie young variant covers. It's for her but let me know if this isn't enough. ive never done this type of stuff before. leaving now. bye

  18. Maybe 6 years old childs did that. Was Chris S. your English teacher? I did.
  19. I'd like to add my testimonial for Chip: I bought a lot of 19 Star Wars #100 (news stand) issues off Chip a few weeks ago. The packaging was excellent. I have no doubts I received these comics in the condition Chip sent them in. I have no problems paying an extra buck or two over the cost of other shippers when I know the book will arrive in the condition it is described in. It saves me from having to buy the book again and again trying to get the grade I'm looking for. Chip said the books would be packaged "to withstand Godzilla" and they were. Im guessing most of chips customers and followers are board members. Lower the shipping cost and he gets more ebay customers. Board members on ebay are cool, but they make up less than 1 percent of ebay customers. Board members dont mind the extra shipping cost, but ebay customers do. It just really depends on if he is trying to expand or not.
  20. I would think that book would have to be an SS books to sell well. You can still find some core X-men collectors that want a 9.8, but an SS would do very well. Raw it just isn't in demand a whole lot anymore looks like it pulls around $8 in NM. ...even less than that, I'm afraid. http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Uncanny-X-Men-248-1989-NM-9-4-White-Pages-1st-Jim-Lee-Artwork-/221432421132?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item338e669b0c Peace, Chip Looks like someone was willing to pay $9.52 for it. +1
  21. What do you mean without nubs? This is what I use: http://www.uline.com/BL_1301/Kraft-Easy-Fold-Mailers Are these ok for shipping 1 comic? I've used bubble mailers in the past but checking all my options. Is the mailer enough protection alone, or would I still need to put the comic in a cardboard sandwich, then in the mailer? Cardboard sandwich, then mailer.
