  1. Good morning, If you don't have any window bags, you can always make your own. If you have a regular bag you can cut out a spot where you want it signed and then we recommend putting painters tape around that spot so it stands out. If you don't wish to do that or don't feel comfortable making your own bag, we will have a supply of window bags here that we can put your book into once it arrives. Thanks!

  3. Good morning, Unfortunately, if the book has a custom label that is retired, those labels are no longer available. It would have to receive a standard label or a you could select a different custom label from the current available labels. Thanks!
  4. Good morning, Thanks for your message. The Walkthrough tier is just our highest grading/pressing tier and is for books valued over $3,000. The same services apply for walkthrough as they do for any of the other tiers it just has a faster turnaround time. Screening is a separate service and can be selected with any tier except Modern. If you have a book screened to see if it would benefit from pressing and our graders feel it would not benefit then you would not be charged any pressing fees. Just the screening fee of $15 minimum or 1% of the declared value (whichever is greater). If we feel the book would not benefit, you would receive an email letting you know. If we do feel the book would benefit then it is just sent on to pressing and the pressing fees would then be charged. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!

  6. Good morning, Thanks for your message. I did check with the graders on this and they advised that yes, rust can absolutely be on the interior (centerfold) of a book and not the outside and vice versa. We do see this fairly often. Thanks!
  7. Good morning, I am showing you upgraded from Premium to Elite. When you upgrade from Premium to Elite the membership fees are not prorated due to the fact that you receive an additional $150 credit when you upgrade to the Elite level, giving you a total of $300 in grading credits during that one membership year. The fees are only prorated when you upgrade from Associate to Premium. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you!
  8. Good morning, We do not currently grade Museum editions but I did ask the graders regarding how we would handle this on non-museum editions. They advised that we would not have to qualify the book if you specifically requested that we did not. If the number is small it would have a minimal affect on the grade. Thank you!
  9. Good morning, Thanks for your message. Both invoices are still within the normal Modern turnaround time. Invoice 3797097 did get processed faster than normal for that tier. I'm not sure how that one was able to get through a bit quicker than normal but the other invoice, 3793951 is still within the normal Modern turnaround time. It is in the grading room right now and should be finishing up in about 10-12 days. Thanks!
  10. Hi, So all of the three are scheduled for grading. This just means they are in line to start grading. The only reason one is not showing that status yet is because our verification team hasn't yet entered all the books from that order yet. But they are all essentially in the same status at this stage. Once they complete entering all the books, you will see the status change on that one as well. Thanks!

We are currently shipping out Pre-Screen Modern orders that were entered into the system around 1-11. Yours were entered on 1-13 so they should be finishing up very soon. I am sorry for the longer turnaround times, we are working very hard to bring these times down but every department is seeing some increase in the times. Thank you for your patience!

  18. Good morning, CGC does not determine a value for your books. The customer must list a declared value for each item they send in to us. It should be close to the current fair market value of the book. Our graders can bump a book up to a higher tier if they feel it is significantly undervalued but we do not evern state an exact value for a book that we grade. You want to include all the books that appear on your packing slip in the same box. If you want to break that up into separate boxes then you should complete separate orders and include the appropriate packing slip in each box. You will have to first determine a declared value and then you will be able to see which grading tier it would fall under. Each tier has a maximum value amount so if your book value exceeds this max then you know you have to go up to a higher tier. We do not authenticate signatures here so that is why they must be witnessed in order for us to verify that it was actually signed by that person. The credit is applied only to grading fees so you would be responsible for any shipping and handling, pressing, imaging or any other additional services you selected. Thanks!
  24. Hi, if you can provide a tracking number, we can check into it further. Everything that has been scanned in by our warehouse should be showing in the tracking lookup. There can be a delay of about 2-7 days from when it is delivered to when it is scanned in by our warehouse but something from early April should be in there.
