  1. We can slab books up to 1/2 inch thick but that would need our magazine holder. The magazine size holders are larger and can fit larger and/or thicker books than the comic holder. However, the magazine size holder is only sealed at the four corners and not all the way around. So, on those size holders, you will see areas on the top and bottom as well as the sides that are not completely sealed. This is normal for this size holder.   6. Good morning, Thank you for your message. Yes, you can definitely send a Signature Series book in for a reholder. In order for the book to maintain the Signature Series label it just has to come in still intact in the CGC holder. We will crack it out of the holder here on our end and we can then just put it into a new holder but everything on the label should remain the same. The grade should not change unless there was any damage done to the book post encapsulation. Thank you!

You can follow the same basic instructions using your own packing materials. You do not need to include a box for return shipping. We will ship it back in one of our boxes when the order is completed. We will discard any boxes or shipping materials that come in with your order. If you would like to send that back to us, we can get that corrected for you at no charge. Please just call or email us the certification number and the issue and we will send you instructions and a link to a pre-paid shipping label to send that back to us. You can call us at 877-662-6642 and email us at: submissions@cgccomics.com. I can't really tell from the images if there is any issue with the holder. There can sometimes be some minor movement within the holder and this is normal. As long as the book is secure in the inner well there should be no issue. If you send the book back to have the label corrected, we will also reholder that for you and it should take care of any issues with the holder also. Thank you!

If you select the option for Alex Sinclair to colorize a black and white sketch, this means you would have to submit a black and white sketch you already had for him to colorize it. He is not sketching anything himself, just colorizing any sketch that was done previously. Thank you!

  12. Good morning, Thank you for your message. You can submit multiple orders in the same box. Just be sure to separate your books with their appropriate packing slips within the box. Also, please notate all of the artists initials on the outside of the box if you are submitting for multiple private signings. You cannot submit the same book for multiple signings unless that signing is designated for multiple artists. If the artists are not listed together on our events page then it is not possible to submit the same book for both signings unless you happen to get the book back from one signing and have time to resubmit it for the second. You can check that here: CGC Census | Certified Guaranty Company, LLC (cgccomics.com) Unfortunately, if that is not listed on the census then there is no way to track how many of those we have graded.   14. Hello, Thank you for your suggestion! We are always working on finding more efficient processing methods. However, we are limited to what we can do with our current system. But, hopefully, sometime in the near future we will be getting a new system that should allow for a lot of positive changes. Thank you!
  15. Good morning, Thank you for your message. There was a big change in fees and benefits that went into effect on 4-28-21. It looks like your online order was completed on 4-27-21 so it had the old pricing listed but when it was entered in the system, it got in under the new pricing. Modern pressing went from $12 per book to $15 per book. I'll have our accounting department adjust the fees and we can give you the old pricing on this. If you have any questions, please let us know. There could have been an issue with the book that prevented it from being safely encapsulated. There will be a note with the book itself which should explain why it was rejected. When you receive the book, please let us know if you don't see that note and we can check further with the graders on that. Thank you!

  20. Good morning, Thank you for your message. I'm not sure what you are asking, however. You will have to provide a declared value when you enter your books onto the online submission form. The value we ask you for is an insurance value, a number you would feel comfortable with in terms of a replacement value if your book was lost or damaged while with us. Each tier of service covers up to a maximum specified insurance level and you must choose a tier of service which will accommodate the declared value for your item.   24. Good morning, Thank you for your message. You would submit a single page just as you would a regular comic. You will still need to complete an online submission form, select a tier, etc. A single page won't receive a regular grade, but a notation that it is just a specific page from a certain book. (see example below). The only time we can do a single page is if we can associate the page with a specific issue. If we cannot determine which book the page came from then it would be sent back as is to the customer. Thank you!
