  1. My order from InstockTrades.com came in. Scalped Vol.1 Deluxe edition. Its a really great read so far, plus this edition is great. Its a hardback, with a dusr jacket, and has cover art, made for this edition. Y The last Man Vol. I never read it, but everyone always tells me what a great read it is, so I figured I waited long enough. Preacher Vol.1 This one I'm real interested in reading, after reading the premise it got me really interested in reading it. Last but not least BlackSad. Its European, but anybody that has read it can tell you that it can more than hold its own against any American comic page for page, not to mention the art for it is just beautiful to say the least. Heres the link for anybody wondering- http://www.instocktrades.com/ I use them for really all my trade buying, they have really great discounts including for new releases, plus you can get free shipping on orders over $50, though it can take a little long.
  2. I read the trade, and now have to add this to my pull list.
  3. Ok, so to start of I guess I'll show the piece I bought at comicartcon on Sunday. I was very happy to finally get a Kirby piece, and even more that it was a page to Kamandi. I know thats not everybody cup of tea, but for me it was like hitting two birds with one stone. If you look at the left center of the page you can see how part of it got ripped, but I think thats what kept its price so low. Sorry for the picture of my foot in the shot, I tried cropping it our, but for some reason wouldn't post to the boards afterwards.
  4. I now have my own plot of CGC forum land, I wonder how I should use it?
  5. It seems everyone else has one so I guess I should too! I started this for fun, but will try to post interesting things, but will also include recent buys, along with gifs, and memes for my amusement. People are welcome to post, and discuss different things they don't all need to be comic related. See more journals by DeadpoolJr.

  7. Np problem Bird. As for your questions regarding Sig Series from my understanding, artist are able to send their finished commissions of their work directly to CGC, but need to fill a special form for it, but thats only if their working on it from home. As for authorized witnesses I believe the term for them is known as CAWs, and you're not required to pay them. They get payed by CGC (very little like $50 a day). Facilitators on the other hand have prices that vary depending on who you get, and what sigs you want.Facilitators are good if you wants autographs, but can't make the show so you hire them instead. Since you'll actually be at the show I' would save the money, and just do the leg work myself, that is unless you want to go around the convention, and relax, than I would recommend paying the facilitators do the leg work. For autographs yes you need to get a CAW to go with you to the artist. You can get one easily by just going to the CGC booth, and telling them you need an authorized witness to go with you to get a sig. They will then follow you to the artist, or writer you want to sign your book(s), and have them sign it in front of the witness. When done just walk back to the CGC booth with the witness, and fill out the paperwork. If its a sketch cover where the artist is drawing on a blank comic, you can actually drop off the blank for the artist to draw on, and only need a witness with you to pick it up when it done. I hope these answer your questions, and if still confused, I recommend this thread in the sig part of the forum, which actually answers all your question much better than mine. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3777459#Post3777459 And here's a list of facilitators who are taking submissions, so you can see if any are going to the con you're interested in. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=86
  8. What kind of defect is it? But to answer your question yes, CGC generally does not deduct for printing defects when grading.
  9. Yea, another one I'm having trouble understanding is why share a paypal? Why not simply have your own?

  11. Your stuff is really impressive, much better than my attempts at air brushing when I did it in high school.
  12. grilloj39 is still active as of 2/6/15. He might remember. Thank you PovertyRow
  13. I asked the question in the moderation area, hopefully we will know soon.
  14. Steve, how...where did you stumble across that? So we had a baseball card forum all this time, and then just vanished. Its like the Atlantis of the boards.
  15. I mentioned this about a hundred or so pages ago. I actually tracked this down to Lea Hernandez and offered to purchase it from her. She said that it wasn't for sale because of the sentimental value. Two weeks later it showed up on CAF. I guess sentimental means "sold". I thought it usually meant, should of offered more in this hobby.
  16. I don't think this comic is aimed at male readers, but am sure will get huge praise on Tumblr.
  17. Dave Stevens cover to Rocketeer Adventure Magazine #1 is going up for auction at Sothebys. Estimates range between 62k-74k http://www.sothebys.com/pdf/2015/PF1555/index.html
  18. It has a bid, but doubt he'll make the sale. Hacked account I'm guessing?
  19. That man is very large. I wouldn't mind being that large. I don't think I can grow another 9 inches, though... H broke a record that stood for a thousand years, one that was actually written into legend. He is viking Hercules.
  20. I guess I was lucky then my package from Dale Roberts today since if it wasn't today it would be till Thursday, or Friday. My dad works for the postal service, and told me he got a phone call from the USPS Alert System, saying all post offices would be closed in the region, including their head quarters in D.C.
