I think this is referring to his personal comic collection. I guess he accumulated a lot of comics over the years he did not draw. If you worked at Marvel or DC you could basically take home every book they published every month.

Believe the same with my copy here, also no signature on splash page (I wouldn't expect it on this book).

  2. I searched here and google and couldn't really find any information.

I picked up a collection a while back and in the bag of a FNish copy of Marvel Premiere #1, was the below certificate. Is there a book-to-certificate "registry" or any information such as old advertisements from Comics Plus marketing this collection? Any way to validate the authenticity of the book and the certificate? Thanks in advance!

So CGC is offering $16-$18/hr starting pay to people who handle who your collectible comics up to $##,### in value or more, including those skilled in the art of pressing (including "quality checks") as well as encaspulation, and even data-entry and submission verification

$17/hr... That's the minimum "living wage" in Sarasota Co Florida for a single adult with no kids.

That's what CGC thinks of your precious collectibles.

CGC puts their money into what they value, and it ain't in handling your stupid comics.

They've also stated they're eventually going to implement a tip screen on the order forms for the "graders"              /s

first order back after the new return policy. looks like they aren't even going to pretend to care.

camera has a hard time capturing the scuffing, it trys to auto focus on the comic or the lighting. but they generally look worse in person. the star wars book had a damaged comic, scuffing, and newton rings. i feel like i hit the trifecta.

    CGC:

If the seller would have properly labeled the book as incomplete, we would not be in this situation. The seller started this chain reaction by being careless ( at best ) in the listing and at worst, being fraudulent. I'm very surprised by all the responses to the contrary.

Likewise if the buyer would've spent 1min to count the pages within 30 days, this situation wouldn't exist either. Trust but verify folks. You should take the $100 consideration and cut your losses assuming it's still an option at this point.

  6. Tough one, who's to say that you or CGC didn't damage the book; since you didn't page count it before sending off to CGC it's really a he-said-she-said issue.

Seller should not be liable for any of your cost to send to CGC, however any seller worth anything, who cares about their reputation, would likely offer a reasonable refund at least. I feel that based on the time that $100 is the minimum of reasonable in this instance.

When submitting books I have noticed that "Mark Jewelers" does not appear on my comic book description list from the drop down menu on the CGC order submission site.

Example: Incredible Hulk #349 Newsstand Edition

So will my books still receive the "Mark Jewelers" on the CGC Label after grading/encapsulation/imaging has been completed? My Hulk 349 is Mark Jewelers copy.

It should, just select Hulk 349 in the submission form.

While I agree with your sentiment, would you be prepared to pay significantly more for your bags and boards if they were manufactured locally?

Because this is something most people won't be happy with.

They want to support local business and/or manufacturing but they don't want to pay the price of what it actually costs.

And THIS is the reason things are made in China. Because people refuse to pay for quality products sourced locally...but it's the only way to make it happen.

Personally, I'd pay extra for local products if they were what I wanted.

I absolutely would pay additional (in reason) to buy something made somewhere "local". Regardless, saying one thing and doing another doesn't inspire trust or confidence in the company and product. It makes me wonder, are the other claims like "Acid free" a bunch of wildly_fanciful_statement too?
