  1. If you have a book before the show, then you have an interest. I had one. I still do. Do I regret selling? No. The book is still great It's entirely possible to have the book AND watch the show.
  2. My wife tried watching it. 'After all the times you raved about the comic, it was like you telling me we were going to our favourite restaurant and ending up at Taco Bell' She ain't wrong. Cancelled due to $$ my backside - it was an absolute turdburger with appalling ratings that bored everyone to death. Hopefully, one day, someone will have the cahones to tell the original story.
  3. Be welcoming to new people. Or they may become lurkers, for like, ever. Which would be bad. They might be done with this place. To OP - there is a long delay as CGC are grading more books than they can handle. We are all in the same boat.
  4. Yeah, I get that. It just looks lame - and pointless. I hope the show isn't depending on her to act. Each to their own - but for me, that was cringeworthy
  5. I'm surprised noobs haven't jumped in on this one. Or lurkers. This seems a thread for lurkers.
  6. Worse than Army of the Dead Both movies bored me to tears - which should have been impossible with a zombie flix set in Vegas - and a prequel. Not good 2/10
  7. Excuse the bad pics. No super-pets here sadly More Hardback Graphic Novels, Tank Girl books, The Boys, assorted indie short series. Various 'Dawn' books - inc limited edition signed set with COA Giger books, McKean books etc etc $175 all up
  8. What would Kang do? Form a bloody sentence for a start....
  9. I'm English mate - I just happen to live in OZ now. Tipping Point is a show everyone should endure at least once!
  10. Your book, your money - you collect what makes you happy. Ignore the nay-sayers and shine on you crazy diamond! PS: You could always 'test your grading' in the grading section of the boards.... Guys lets make a lurking noob welcome! (In loving honour of recently FDQ exiting members!)
  11. Au contraire. I couldn't care less what you do. I'm just not sure WHY you are doing it. If this is an attempt at trolling - it's poor. If this is a thread to bait people so you can add to your tally of button humps, then it's ever poorer. Just put me on ignore and have done with it.
  12. This is almost as bad as the torments of tantalus. Pointless and painful to watch. And ultimately fruitless.
  13. Regina King was superb. Again DC went 'Dark' - and it worked. Incredibly good show. Funny you should mention Stargirl - I haven't watched it - but I haven't heard good things - it seemed 'tweeny' - I may try it. Supergirl - again too tweeny. Doom Patrol was kinda like Legion - you liked it or hated it. And speaking of which AUBREY PLAZA would be perfect as Batgirl! I think Watchmen makes my point well. Batgirl needs to be super dark for it to work
  14. Good backing cast - esp JK Simmons I am worried that the heroine has such a shallow CV As we saw with the dreadful Aussie actress Ruby Rose in Batwoman - doesn't matter how good a concept is - if the lead can't act - then its going to crash and burn. Her only major role was a musical which was just about OK - but not due to her really - more the complete ensemble. I don't understand DC's thinking at times - so many ordinary Batman movies - then some great dark ones (latest looks good too) Some good series - but some truly awful ones. Hell the latest Wonder Woman was abysmal - and after The Snyder Cut, with Gadot being pretty damn good - why oh why did they do an 80's style movie that was just so cringeworthy that it would actually have been bad IN the 80's! When DC do dark movies - they work When they do G / PG movies - they stink. This doesn't bode well for me - there are so many stronger female actors out there - and Batgirl is supposed to be a strong character. Emma Mackey (Sex Education) or even Blu Hunt would have been so much better choices - Millie Bobby Brown even. Hopefully she surprises and makes Batgirl her own - certainly a potential franchise. But besides WW - DC don't have a good track record with female characters (Harley Quinn, Birds Of prey etc) Hoping for best, fearing mediocrity!
  15. There is a dreadful movie on Netflix - 'Cosmic Sin' - on which mech clad soldiers fly through space onto the planet in an "Iron Rain" I'm assuming Mr Brown might be consulting his lawyers about this!
  16. I concur There have been 'good' Hulk moments in the movies - time for a great one. Most under-used character out of the current Avengers roster
  17. But I couldn't log on for 2 days Had to go through a 3rd party link - "bad gateway connection" Coincidence?
