  1. Yup - the Internet would stop for a few seconds at least
  2. I'm in the 'bubble camp' for NM #98 - and bailed out of my only copy at a nosebleed price when the movie news hit. I also agree TWD #1 is at or near it's peak. I have sold all my 5 copies in the last year (9.2 - 9.8) I'm certain I will be able to replace NM #98 for significantly less than I sold it. I'm confident I will get another TWD #1 9.8 for under $1000 eventually. It's all about timing I guess - common books should be sold when hot, and bought when cold. TWD #1 whilst not overabundant does have a hugely disproportionate % of 9.8/copies printed. The air will leak slowly, but it will still leak - out of 1724 Blue labels on the CGC census - 654 are 9.8 or BETTER. Not everyone has deep pockets, and for some, a $2k book is the icing in their collecting cake. When prices go south, some of those people, fearing a loss will bail - adding to the fall. I feel it will settle between $750 - $1250. Someone mentioned IH #181 - that is a bubble! Imagine if the industry did a U-Turn and decided #180 actually WAS the 1st Wolverine. That's why I will never buy that book in HG. as always.
  3. I have faith - I've just sent a Todd #1 CGC 9.8 to be signed by Danny Trejo. Not a cheap exercise - so there are still many of us that think Todd will live again! C'mon Ken - update us all please!
  4. It didn't sell at $9,500 got re-listed at $17,000 and then "sold"........ That's exactly why I explicitly stated 'if this is legit'. Book with same cert number has changed hands twice this year. This will be it's 3rd "sale"........... Anyone recognise the sellers name?
  5. Yowzers! GPA shows 9.9 just sold for $17,000 USD Where was this? And is it legit - smashes the ceiling on this book to pieces - that's a crazy, crazy price if true......
  6. A point that I feel is valid, is unlike most Modern books, where only #1 is the "key" book, The Walking Dead offers many. #2 and #3 to me, are a little undervalued considering the amount of key characters in the comic and show that make their debuts in those issues. I believe the runs of those 2 books were sub 5000. Add #19, #27 #53, #61 (I do not believe this will hold as a genuine key, but whatever - for the moment it commands a premium) and #92. Some may argue that #108 and #127 may also become keys in the future. How many other modern comics can boast an array of key issues, where in those issues previously mentioned, a character plays a huge role in either the TV show, comic or in the case of #19 + #27 - both? It's not just about #1 - it's about the evolution of the series and the importance of the characters both on-screen and off - and their debut issues as well. FWIW - I believe TWD #1 will be a $1000 - $1250 book in 9.8 (add inflation per year ) for as long as comics are collected. I think these are the halcyon days, and a fall will occur, but to suggest that TWD #1 will be a sub $1k book is wishful thinking. The other keys will fall as they fade from the 'front and centre' of the show and comic (#27) but they will still command a premium, and be very much sought after.
  7. Thanks Chip - that's the second collection, right? Plus the one I acquired was marked "proof set" and had a code ending with a letter - any idea what the difference is - all the others I have seen (admittedly only 3 so far) had 4 digits. This is 614B - any idea why the different coding Chip? (or anyone?)
  8. Waded through 20 boxes of stuff that had been in stored (badly) for years. Got these as some of the better ones - Plus about 300 Dr Strange, Avengers, Uncanny X-men, Thor etc etc Plus this - any idea what this is - it's still 'factory sealed" Sorry for poor pics but its a 5000 edition of 6 x 9 Trading Cards from 1990 - I don't want to open it (yet) until I know what it is - 'proof set 614b' is on the cover. Lot of Valiants, lotta drek - lots of fun! Must have been 3000 books.....
  9. That was my thought - with Morgan to take charge.....
  10. Great episode.... Morgan is now clearly channelling Yoda
  11. Try this one. Can't have you sitting on the sidelines for all the fun. INTSHIPBOUND -shawn Too late - or doesn't work for Australia.... Should work for AUS. Make sure you copy and paste it. -shawn Being a complete bellend - I didn't hit "apply" Works now - another 2 boxes ordered! Thanks Shawn - incredible deal - #10593 - one each for my boys - they will love them!

  13. The Runaway Reverend will get it , oh in about 3 hours from now. Gets eaten by the last of his flock he left to die.
  14. Good point - I had just assumed the numbers were for the Black Friday boxes. Black Friday? Here that is the commemoration of a day where hundreds died in bushfires in a single day. I'm guessing it means something different in USA - I know it seems to be shopping related, but where did the term "Black Friday" come from in the states?
  15. That would be awesome. One of these would look great in a slab. Now for one that can press-up to be a 9.8 - for EVERYONE. It would look awesome next to the 2003 #1 in 9.8. First person to get those two should post a pic!
  16. So - how many are we looking at? 5000? I can see orders between 8750 and 10,217 - and some people have ordered 10 boxes, so 5000 would seem about right
  17. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/The-Walking-Dead-Tenth-Anniversary-2014-Mystery-Box-Variant-1-Black-and-White-/131363022659?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item1e95d8a743 Jeez Alex - you are quick off the mark!
  18. The cheapest option was $80 something USD for 3 boxes Alex. I guess I was being half-serious with the above post - I would hope, should one of my boxes contain something heavier, like a Guitar or Statue would be sent without extra charge - just as they should for Canadians, Brits etc I'd expect with a reputable company such as Skybound, that everyone from all countries would have a fair shot at all the extras, regardless of extra postage incurred, and that the freebie "big prizes' wouldn't be for USA customers only. I'm sure that's the case. We don't pay customs on anything under $1000 per item. My order was 9154, so they have shifted a fair few! THATS 9154 hint, hint........
  19. Yes, we ship overseas. The link will be active at midnight EST. -shawn Well I bought 3 boxes - Jeez the shipping is either: 1) Expensive for T-shirts or 2) Awesome for a free Guitar, Lucille and massive Michonne statue..... I'm hoping for option 2 George, what about you? Actually, interesting point - if I do "win" a 'random' box with a bonus inside - do I get billed for extra shipping? I'd hope the freebie draw is a world-wide thing. Lucille...... Lotta Christmas presents for people with these shirts! Great promotion btw - hats off to Skybound for a really good pre-Xmas deal. Seriously - great deal at the exact right time of the year. Kudos.
