Noobs On a serious note - how good are these clocks - every man and his dog seems to have bought one. Anyone got any 'home pics' (not a sales thread one) - is the backing image on card or vinyl? They do seem popular.

This is such a great thread. Luckily we have a couple of heros to suck the fun right out of it. Yay! (I'm just covering for Hulk-Smash/Jiminy Cricket until he gets back) I mean - Chips doing it real tough - right? Remember the big "I was ripped off saga" We all chipped in for Chippy, gave away books and slabs to make him whole, without ANYTHING to offer in return - and the boards were happy. Now, having his ebay account exposed, see that he has 100+ SA books for sale, (3.5 graded here, 5.0 on ebay) but he has nothing to donate to this thread...... Until $150 free box comes along. I was told not to give you that slab - BUT - I did. C'est la vie. Incredibly disappointed. And it's the 4th or 5th time you have done this Chip. No excuses left.

I know I've seen movie posters for 300 and Kick for sale on this site, both are R-rated but both are obviously comic related. What were the movie titles? Just mainstream stuff? Lipstick was one, the other 2 were 1970's soft-core stuff - but as Sharon stated, they weren't comic related in anyway, so out they went. A hint perhaps to those of us who aren't Rupp He's been convinced that the mods are out to get him, deleting his threads for no good reason, etc. Just because you are paranoid, doesn't mean they are not out to get you... Who wrote that?

Were they comic book related? because rule #1 says. "Books must be CGC or raw only, or items directly related to comics." No they weren't. Thanks Sharon - that's probably it. I have seen Play Stations sold on here though without incident. Someone probably went and told the mods, so they had no choice. It would have been nice for the mods to let me know in a PM - or even the person who button-humped. Seems silly to be afraid to say something directly to me, but some boardies are like that. I stuck up some movie posters for "r" rated films. There was no nudity or bad language. It went poof - no message, just poof. Any reason? They showed nothing risqué and were in the 'misc' area - at least WHY they were removed would be nice. You can sell DVDs there, so why not film related posters? Mods?

Well, everyone I've ever talked to if it has come up in idle conversation has said it's a really slow movie, kinda boring, etc. This thread is the first time I've seen so much positive stuff about it. So my expectations aren't to high, but I've probably got 2 hours to kill and I'm sure I could do worse things with the time. Good Call to watch it mate. Like I said before - lights out, no distractions. Watch it alone. Get a decent bottle of Red in. Pris, Kowalski,Roy,Zhora and Rachael are played sublimely. Sean Young is so beautiful in this - breathtaking. JF and Gaff are excellent supporting characters - but Deckard - never has such a conflicted character ever been played so well on the big screen by Ford. From the neon to the never-ending rain - Blade Runner will mesmerise you. And you will watch it again, straight away afterwards. A tour-de-force.

They are pretty low grade - but still worth some $$$ - I actually have a graded WMD already - so great to be able to sell an undercopy (though the WMD is really a reprint of the 1st appearance) - the one you see - really a 2.0 or lower - you can see a rough spine tear in the pic much easier once you get them back to look over - for larger groups you have to just kind of average - and it is a risk. I am NOWHERE near as good as many here (see Chip!) - just have fallen into some decent scores recently. Note that the pics probably look a lot better than the grades - the silves are VG average - meaning some are G - some (more the newer) range to FN. I do not mind dealing in these kinds of books though, as less overall risk (the buy price does not break you). I usually keep and sell - my goal with any big buy is to be able to sell as much of the bulk as possible - to be bale to keep 10% or so. Slabbing - so far ( and really have only begun to bag/board and inventory ) - the IM 55 is the one that seems worthwhile - might be able to press to a 6 or better. I know it's a reprint, but its still sought after. FF #45 is on fire - plus 1st Black Bolt (Vin Diesel?) as well. Congrats again!

Has anyone heard a definitive update for new issues, or a potential Television update? Wasn't there going to be a board game at one point? If this is old stuff, I apologise, I don't visit the Modern section too much nowadays.

Shawshank Redemption, Aliens and Blade Runner - best 3 films I have ever seen. To the guy who hasn't seen Blade Runner: Close your blinds, turn off the lights and phone Grab a bottle of something really mellow, and enjoy Sean Young and Harrison Ford in one of the best films ever made.
