  1. Nobody cared about any of those characters. You honestly believe nobody watching the show became attached to: Lori (bad example) Shane Dale Andrea Bob Beth Tyreese Hershel The Twins etc etc? I'd be very surprised judging by social media at the time, especially, as Slym has stated, Andrea, - plus Dale and Hershel. The Twins death is still being talked about. I agree though, they aren't up there with the big 4 (5 if you include Carol - and she's getting to the stage of being a very essential and loved character). One of them going would be huge. Outside of Hershel most of those characters were either loathsome or had such little backstory or meaningful character development that nothing was lost when they died. Nobody cared about the twins. People talked about their deaths because they were children and they were killed in a particularly stark way, as opposed to most of the deaths in the show occurring as the result of a character's incompetence. If and when Daryl dies it will be the result of sacrificing himself to save everyone or Carol, and in the process will end up killing his killer at the same time. They aren't gonna burn the most liked character by having Negan or someone else get the drop on him. This isn't Game of Thrones. Mr Kirkman? Is that you? I guess we will see - however I'm not sure Game of Thrones is the best analogy. Killing off various cast members didn't hurt it one iota. You are probably right.

  3. I think a point of interest is the role selected for Daryl. As of now, we have no knowledge wether Alexandria is even aware of Negans presence. For all we, as TV viewers know, is that somebody is cutting up walkers into pieces (the truck) and 'branding' others. Daryl has been appointed the new Alexandria 'meet and greet new people' outrider, along with Aaron. Is it so unfeasible that the next group to come along is Negans (under whatever name AMC deems fit) and that to make a statement they send Daryl back to Alexandria with his brains leaking out of his eyes courtesy of Lucille? If you want to send a message, you generally kill the oppositions messenger.
  4. Gee....Daryl being in a place of danger with a few leaks? You think AMC won't let out a few 'sneak-peeks' a month ahead? Who said soon? Not me, but mid-season break next year would be a ratings winner. It's a TV show - Dale, Shane, Andrea and Bob and Tyreese etc etc Who can forget T-Dog? They all died and were forgotten within 12 months. How many posts about Beth are there now - she died 4 episodes ago. It's a TV show. It will do what it needs to do to keep people watching. We all know Negan is coming - and he's going to kill someone. I don't think Kirkman will make it Glenn. In the spoilers for next week - good to see Abe outside, no doubt taking over the working crew. We all know what comes next.........
  5. Daryl's death = massive ratings for 3 three shows that lead up to his death. Jesus being played by an attractive rugged actor = Daryls replacement. Win-Win for AMC, and Reedus gets to cash in on his higher profile by landing some film roles that are better than Boondock Saints. Ratings are god.
  6. Great episode. 1/4 on that TWD gets 150+ complaints about Buttons being Z meat. Ricks going to get it on with Jessie - lets hope she doesn't meet the same end as the comic, because we all know what happens to Carl if it goes down that way...... Carol = Badass Sasha = Andrea Daryl = Dead
  7. Not a 'MAD' fan tbh - but I did pick up a big box full in an estate sale last week. All Australian Mads, and Super-specials. Very Australian-centric (obviously) so highly doubtful if there would be much interest outside Australia.
  8. Said that a few pages back - sticking with it as well. The ratings would be enormous....... Jesus would be the natural replacement for the ladies, in the 'good looking men' department, if properly cast - as Daryl has quite a large female following I believe?
  9. I would have got #1 and #3 signed, but I only had #1 in a certain 9.8 (already graded) so went for that. If you have both and they are both 9.8's, I'd certainly do both. I only had 1 SS book before this - but couldn't pass up the chance to own a DT signed book. Plus I doubt if he will ever sign more than 10 - 15 copies of this book ever. Todd's not worth the $$ for a lot of people now to shell out the $130ish (to get it signed, slabbed plus shipping and assorted fees) to get it done. Can't wait to get mine back!
  10. To many moderns with no 'Beginning, Middle and End' Shame, as Revival started well. Wonder what the guy who paid $10,000 for a Revival #1 10.0 is thinking about now? Nothing positive, I'd imagine.
  11. That James, is awesome. Congrats mate - an iconic Modern cover.
  12. Yep. DT is a legend and whether Todd ever comes back or not, he is a legend...to me. Yes, yes and yes - do it boys! I'm stoked with mine - and lets face it - DT is not a young man. But my goodness Danny did some awesome "stay in on a Saturday night with your mates and get hammered watching Machete..." Good Times. Long Live Danny Trejo!
  13. Supergirl? Supergranny more like...she just looks about 30+
  14. Old Man Logan if done badly would confuse the heck out of the 'new' marvel fans. If done correctly, then it could be the greatest film of them all. The scene of Hawkeye and Logan driving past the decayed corpse of Giant-Man still burns. Trouble is - people will see Spidey, Thor, Cap etc all dead - it may well confuse so many people it's counter-productive. If it works - I wanna see Marvel Zombies next!
  15. Nice Guy - great communication - will happily deal with again. Highly recommended!

They do it in real life as well. Homeless people all know when the meal trollies are left in the corridors for collection. Sad, but been happening for years.

BTW - Is Ms Kringle meant to be somebody? She appears frequently, but I'm not remembering (or I simply don't know) who she is? A show creation or a comic character I'm not getting? Cheers PS: Kill Fish!

Was there any reason why 'Dollmaker' just doesn't kill Mooney and carry on as before? Utterly, utterly pointless. Other than that - Gordons rise is compulsive viewing.
  19. Great episode - genuine suspense. Loved that the Alexandria boss was female. Jessie intro (start wearing red sister!) plus jackhole husband on the Porch. Straight into the "We will take it mode" Gun repository and bell tower. Didn't like the new young girl - I suppose though Carl is growing up very quickly........ Am concerned about Daryls lack of "Alexandria role" - Kirkman has to create one - he may well be the Abraham or Glenn of the show.... Waaaaaay too soon for Negan. The fortification of Alexandria, trips outside, Eugenes bullet factory etc all come before Jesus arrives. Next Season, probably at the very end.
  20. Yikes.....that's not good. I thought Perker was too unwell to work atm? If he's now better, but working on another book, then that's not good. I saw the link above about the cartoon - where the heck did it all go wrong? It surely can't be lack of money, as 'Todd' sold out every issue and reprint? I really hope this just isn't a $$$ decision (although I fully understand both guys have to feed their families) but if it is about $$ - then surely "Todd" with an established fanbase would be a safer project to persue than another book? Perhaps Ken can comment, either here, or at the Con mentioned above. It's very frustrating not to be told either way.

Just watched it. Slym is right. Kill off Fish Mooney. Now.
  22. I dunno if I imagined it - but at one point wasn't there talk of Ken meeting the likes of Disney for a board game, Toys, cartoon etc ? It's a mighty long fall from grace to now be in permanent hiatus. I fear James is correct, and that Todd may be done and dusted - perhaps ken could pop on and comment? I'd rather just know either way now tbh, rather than go the way of other Image books such as Nowhere Men, Bedlam etc who's fate just lingered on until nobody cared about them anymore.
  23. That was my cunning plan......
  24. This would be a death sentence-if you tried to go back in time in order not to change history you would have to die before you left because in history you weren't there back in time at that spot. Can I change my super-power to curing baldness then?
  25. 1) Time travel - forward and back without causing any change in history 2) Eleanor Rigby 3) Adolf Hitler, Sir David Attenborough and Lieutenant John Chard.
