  1. Carol must've been in Junior High in the MSH #13 story . . .
  2. This is also what I've seen. When it comes to books that I am buying, the newsstands don't turn up anywhere near the "equal numbers" that would constitute a strong argument for "no difference". When the numbers in the market aren't equal, there's a pretty good chance that eventually the prices in the market won't be equal either. exactomundo
  3. And further, 200 some odd SOLD listings for ASM 300 CGC, and only 28 are newsstand copies. But numbers don't mean anything . . .
  4. Not to beat a dead horse, but . . . 90 some odd listings for ASM 300 CGC, and only 9 are newsstand copies. And you can run this search any week you want. Now, which way are you going to slice that apple?
  5. That might be a better alternative to people taking RMA's rambling as fact.
  6. please don't buy any books from me on ebay. pirate2323 thanks some sellers gets aggravated when buyers tell them their business about how to pack books. ...but the customer is the one who is putting money in your pocket. I have had more than a few books show up bent with no cardboard protection. So don't take it personal if you get a message like that from someone you have not dealt with before. But if you're buying from sellers that don't know how to ship, that's your first mistake. And instructions won't make a lick of difference.
  7. please don't buy any books from me on ebay. pirate2323 thanks some sellers gets aggravated when buyers tell them their business about how to pack books. Personally, I hate it. But I've learned to tolerate (ignore) it. Why? Because you will not receive a better package from anyone, anywhere, anyhow.
  8. Everybody's too knowledgeable (read: cheap) around here . . .
  9. Except that he just makes the stuff up, and pulls dates and numbers out of his hat . . . (and that's being kind).
  10. Yep. I've grown particularly fond of the animated style across all of the DC titles.
  11. Might just be heading down to the LCS and loading up on some BA's. While you're there, checking for Batman Adventures, Annual #1 is also a Harley issue. Completed sales are all over, but probably worth your time. Agreed. This is a significant Harley book.
  12. So then, you shouldn't be posting here until December 2014?
  13. Agreed (as to RMA's post). That definition (as so many are on the internet) is lame. It entirely ignores the inherent definition of the word as a verb, which is to search and follow, as in prowl. A troll is someone who intentionally searches and follows another poster, posting inflamatory comments or responses, in an effort to disturb or annoy that poster, or in an attempt to avenge some perceived prior insult by that poster. We don't need no stinkin' internet to know what words mean.
  14. Stoopid question here: Aren't there a lot of issues that have been printed with a blank UPC block? Seems to me, I've seen many. What makes #302 so special? Is it because it's the only second print with a blank UPC block? hm
  15. Blasphemy! You should be banished from the Copper Forum for even uttering such helacious words!
  16. Is the Star Lord Special worth anything? I picked up a few in a collection last year. Better than a poke in the eye . . .
  17. Luckily, this thread exists (where you can make such confessions . . . )
  18. It'll be interesting to see if Hellblazer #1 heats up, now that Papa Midnite has been announced as the shows main villain. HB 2 is a key PM book as well. It has been so long since I have read the early HBs. Did #1 just refer to PM (and JC's debt) and #2 had him on the cover and his 1st full app? I've actually never read them, as my copies have been in too high a grade to crack. (That's actually one of the drawbacks to late coppers / moderns imho).
  19. You're forgiven Btw, I don't even think you realize you were talking to two different people.
