I dont think they will be doing this in the comics auctions. The "entertainment" department is it's own thing with the toys and pokemon cards and stuff.
Hope you correct.
they are doing this because they are scared those items go below radar cheap.
believe first time they are auctioning AFA GIJoes. Few are blue label open box. Not desirable by true collectors. Many graded figures O-ring pops. I stop buying graded figures. I due love the red label graded vehicles. -

They were mostly reholder? with no actual "real straight submissions?" I mean where did cgc think that he was getting these books for reholder "from?'
Unless he also had regular submissions?
Idk if there is any "real answer that isn't speculation" but those are hundreds of comics for small notations.... idk
same reason why whoever is in control of CGC QC has Fail for some time. "Where in the world was the QC at CGC " With so many Red Flags.

It's evidence that some changes need to be made at CGC.
Somewhere, someone is not allowing that company to be LED correctly.
QC and consistency, the two most important things to real collectors, are sorely lacking.
You may not need a 'NASA' understanding of how to fix things, but at the very least a 'McDonald's' understanding.
This is the real reason why we are talking about this mess. CGC QC has fail collectors for some time. It came back to bite CGC.

OK, since there's been some Baker/Not Baker chatter regarding some of these covers, how about this story that Overstreet credits to Baker and the GCD keeps the question marks on. I guess I'm seeing some Baker (women's figures and faces) but perhaps the hands of other artists just about everywhere else. From All-Famous Police Cases #7, "Death Is Its Only Reward":
Early Baker pencils.
