  1. Didn’t love it by any means, but at 700 it is almost a “your making me buy it price” to me a large cover image of a popular character from her v1 run for 3 figures is a deal.
  2. Ironically it was almost my first Kirby too! Kind Of regret not bidding more on it but you can’t win em all. Congrats!
  3. Well, this auction was a mixed bag. Some strong results here and there, a few at fmv....and then a lot of pieces @ circa 2013 pricing. The auction looked downright cheap compared to the craziness at heritage a couple weeks ago. A late Friday closing along with a million without power in the northeast at some point this past week may have had something to do with it. Finally does anyone else enjoy winning from clink as much as I do? I love the COMICLINK WINNING BIDDER NOTIFICATION in all caps that pops up in my email after the lots close. I hope a lot of boardies got some of the deals!
  4. It doesn't get much better than that for a Batman fan, especially a BTAS fan. Very good price on it at under 10k... I would have bid to 12k ish if I didn't have my eyes on other prizes. I feel that is a 15k ish piece maybe more(probably 20k at heritage).
  5. The Turtle cover was at market. Example with multiple turtles go for more no turtles for less but that piece was about right Under 1k for a Harley Quinn v1 cover with a large image of her was a really poor result I thought. Took some discipline for me not to impulse bid on it.
  6. All Capullo/Glapion pages(COO/DOTF) are ink over blue line with pencils on separate boards and come as a set when buying from Capullo or Glapion. Most Capullo/Miki pages are ink over pencils(I believe only a small handful are not.)
  7. I would take the Capullo all day, although for $8500 I would choose a different page that is available.
  8. Prices don't matter until the fat lady sings. I think the fact that many lots are lower than usual often means buyer are going to put in nuclear bids and are waiting until the end to drop them.
  9. That sounds about right, maybe 2.5. They put too many of the best pieces from the book in that one auction and I think it depressed prices a little.
  10. For sure.....it would be interesting if you saw a few pieces consecutively go above that amount and the ceiling breaks.
  11. It is interesting how a number of "grail pieces" have finished in the bid increment range below $500k. DKR splash, DKR 2 cover, GL 76 cover and now the ASM 100 cover. Seems to be price resistance at this range for some reason. People view those levels as too risky? Maybe no one wants to be the next person to be ridiculed ASM 328 style?
  12. I know................so glad I am not a Spidey collector!
  13. Nice big published vintage Spidey images get the bucks no matter who drew it.
  14. IG art appears to up yet again, especially that page that went for $7767.
  15. Yeah although it’s still early, that is winning the bonkers price of the auction so far to me.
  16. I think it is pretty obvious they do. I myself have been chasing after one of the Batman power records pages that have been hitting the block, but have come up empty as the underbidder or second underbidder most time.
  17. More Adams pages have hit the auction block in the last 6 months than maybe.....the last decade? Interesting to see these pages hit the market and wonder what else us hidden away in stack out there.
  18. Batman #618 already at $43.5. Already makes the #617 that sold 2 years back a steal. Are the best Hush covers now valued at 6 figures?
  19. Prices moving quickly, it is an interesting effect I think when you have these featured auctions of clink and ha staggered how there is massive price discovery at the second auction as people budget for the pieces they desire most.
  20. Bah! get rid of it, it's too big!
  21. The biggest problem with comic art for me is most of it is just way too small. So no, too big is not an issue. Too small is a huge issue and I often sell pieces because they are very underwhelming in person.
  22. It’s always been interesting to me, IMO the covers on Hush all together are pretty meh, while the interiors are some of the prettiest ever To grace a comic book. Probably a few dozen interiors I would rather own for my enjoyment over any cover. If I could have any one cover to Hush it would be 612 probably.
  23. One must remember, the oh can someone value these just for insurance purpose prices and coo coo I massively overprice everything dealer price are 2 very different things!
