  1. Sounds fishy, I think we need to bring in a special prosecutor.
  2. I thought the IG #2 cover went a bit cheap. I thought it would be closer to $35k. Must have been the lack of Thanos.
  3. I'm not one to toot my own horn....but Expecting another 10 pages in this thread now.
  4. What was their shipping charge on it?
  5. I think everyone who looks at those pictures is almost as angry a you. Just mind bogglingly bad.
  6. Got the catalog in the mail today. I have two targets I am going after. I have won at least 1 piece at every Clink auction this year, so I hope the trend continues.
  7. You wouldn't have any problem getting in the $3k-5k range for your copy pretty quickly. Classic cover and with so few coming up recently there are a lot of people looking for a copy. I have been looking for a copy for a while and really kicking myself for not picking one up a few years back.
  8. This sums it up exactly. I would love to hold this piece in person to see all the details up close. People would fight tooth and nail over it if it ever went on the market.
  9. Just finished the show. I rate it above Cage and Jessica Jones, and below DD Seasons 1 and 2. At 16% this might be the dumbest rotten tomato percentage of all time. It wasn't amazing, but it was good. The biggest problem with the show in my opinion was the casting of Danny Rand. I think they handicapped themselves by casting someone as a master of martial arts who had no martial arts background, and didn't even appear to have an athletic background so he could at least fake his way through. A lot of the fight scenes with him were painful to watch, and the fact that he doesn't have a mask made it tough for them to throw in a double often enough. He didn't need to be Asian, but he should have been a martial artist.
  10. People also may want to watch Daredevil again before viewing, as this show is very Hand heavy.
  11. Up to episode 9, it's okay but kind of falling apart, like all of these netflix shows a lot of really good things and a fair amount of bad.
  12. Binge watching it since my wife is out late tonight, it's pretty good, but in the first 5 episodes there is maybe 4 minutes of total fighting. There are a few problems but it is watchable. Several of the scenes that critics were blasting it for I thought were completely blown out of proportion.
  13. It's available on netflix now. I am several episodes in, For the people didn't think Luke Cage and Jessica Jones were superhero shows, people REALLY won't think this is one.
  14. Oh, they have for sure, I am not denying a lot of people know the name Jessica Jones but name recognition doesn't automatically equal popularity. Start referring to Jessica Jones as Jewel and let me know how many people know who you are talking about.
  15. Really? I have seen hundreds of cosplayers dressed as X-23, I have seen about 5 Jessica Jones? Ask any comic book dealer if they would rather have X-23 stuff on their wall or Jessica Jones, hell ask any art dealer as well. Ask the print sellers who is more popular X-23 or Jessica Jones. It's not even close.
  16. The more you think about it the more pieces you can name that might have strong values attached to them. I would like to own the NYX 3 cover far more, but too each their own. If we were all interested in the same things the world would be pretty boring. Well, for Winter Soldier would that page be the number one piece or would it be the variant cover? Both would be super cool and to be honest. Oh X-23 is still headlining her own comic.....The All New Wolverine
  17. Ok, best is a subjective term, she is probably the most popular/largest fanbase? The highest number of comic book appearances for any Marvel character created since 2000? Best overall strong female lead? For all the characters listed, I would say Spider Gwen has the best shot at competing, but she is too new IMO. Winter Soldier is a great example, maybe a better overall character, phenomenal storyline, but he is another male character in a sea of them. I will just change it to "one of the best" to make it easy. She is a female derivative of Marvels second most popular hero behind Spiderman. It creates a huge fanbase, just like DC creating a female derivative of their #1 villain.
  18. I can't wait to watch the first couple episodes tonight. I put zero weight into these crazed PC reviewers. Almost everything bad they have to say is a derivative of a white man being very good at martial arts. It's ridiculous.
  19. I just hope they get into some explanations with the speed force, the speedsters and why they all hate Barry so much. Almost three seasons in and so little has really been revealed. I really hope it is not future Barry, because him killing Iris would just be dumb completely against the character(Unless of course it is because of how horrible an actress she is ) It kind of seemed they were hinting at Jesse at the end of the last episode. Savitar saying he/she had plans for her, along with the fact they realize seemed to emphasize the "HE" when they were talking about him at the end of the episode.
  20. I'm fairly certain their have been offers for the Batman #1 cover in that 30-35k range. I know at first the cover was "available" at 50k but I am not sure if that is still true. A few Miki inked cover just went up at theartistschoice ranging from 20k-50k. The Albuquerque piece for sure would fetch over 20k.
  21. The whole new Miller art market comes off as a huge cash grab to me, with a lot of parties vying over getting a piece of the pie.
