  1. I dealt with a buyer who knew NOTHING of CGC cases and it was a major headache...Not sure if this guy is a scammer...Sounds like a complete noob and those can be the worst to deal with sometimes...The guy I had refused to look at the boards here and resources I provided and was convinced I was trying to scam him ...In my instance, I tried to placate the guy, be helpful. That was a mistake. Suggest have your buyer just return for full refund and be done with him.
  2. Very nice. Getting mine graded soon; love that cover. Did the back bring it down? Looks like a 7.0+. Yeah, probably, scan actually makes back look a tad better. Regardless, very happy with it. Here it is front and back...
  3. I mostly collect Marvel 1st appearances and ASM, but I just HAD to have one of these in my collection
  4. So you are going to change your offer every 5 hours?
  5. 48 hours after the initial offer, regardless of whether they switch it up or not? If so...
  6. I'm really shocked that this offer made it all the way to the 48 hour barrier. I'm hand off on this one but I like the way you mixed it up and added some sweet books. Dangnabit. NICE offer. Can we amend the the one month in between claims waiting rule?

  8. I cornered the CRAK market here...Get your own corner!
  9. Just wanted to give a shout out to Beige...This arrived in the mail today
  10. She is a good actor too. DD continues to impress with their casting.
  11. That's not what my Shark pic meant. Sharks in the water?
  12. There is nothing like offering to buy comics from a thread that is all about giving while at the same time saying the thread sucks. Chris S., If you *hate* it so much, why bother to even stop in Oh wait, never mind...
  13. I'm not ever asking for a handout or a donation. I offer books for sale. Just because I state the reason why I'm selling doesn't mean I'm asking for a damn handout. Absolutely it is. If you tried selling those same books with the headline "i just feel like selling them" probably wont sell as many as selling in a thread titled "selling my comics. need help to support my family". You not playing the handout card but you are definitely playing the sympathy card. You act like I'm begging for money and offering up NOTHING in return. Chip, We are all selling books for one reason or another, most of us for our family. When you state what the "reason" is, especially if (under any degree of description) family is brought into it, it is done to help solicit an emotional response on a financial transaction. Why do you think the Humane Society shows images of all the poor puppies during fundraising campaigns on TV?
  14. I think you are taking this way to personal. You offered up some books, cool. Just dont get too upset over this thread. Besides, guide price kamandi's are wonderful and even better is when some insufficiently_thoughtful_person actually pays anywhere near guide for them. Raw Kamandi's, in any grade, minus #1 are $1. Chip, I feel your pain, I do. I put up a good offer after I picked up a She-Hulk #1 CGC 9.8 from Beige. Even though it was recognized as being a solid offer, in less than 24 hours, there were calls for my offer to be switched. Yeah, it was annoying. I did not appreciate how people went about that and for me, it had more to do about how the calls for a switch were being done that got my back up than actually having to change it up. I am not sure if that is the case with you now, could be defensive based on what some have said and again, I would be too. Been there. However, you are not the only person who sells to help support their family/household. I also sell on eBay too to help with my family/house stuff - I get it. What I ended up offering "hurt", I could have probably sold it for the same amount or more than what I got but I still feel it was "proportional" and "fair" to what I received. I think that is what some feel is missing here with the offers and maybe something to consider. Furthermore, you knew the rules going in. To get a great item, some sympathy for being the victim of a scam (all of which were in this thread) and even though announcing a big score was not done here, the optics are not good and then to just say "nope not changing nothing" and expect "support" just seems a tad short sighted. Even in the absence of all of the above, if there are no Kamandi fans, there are no Kamandi fans...Just the way it goes sometimes...
  15. Well, you are Canadian and your handle is WebSlinger, so......................
