  1. Nice pickup! Thanks - forgot to include this one in the lot! One more to get...Rocketeer Special Edition #1...
  2. Long-term, investment wise, the books...Everyday living...The Bat Cave...I was envious of his HTR set-up, even w/o the bat stuff.
  3. You would have wept with joy and jealousy at the same time...Not a fan of the show per se, but I was up and was like 'wow'...
  4. It was pretty sweet! I may have missed it but I didn't see any old school Bat-Man comics...Seems like the dude could afford a few! ...But yeah, that was hardcore!
  5. Anyone see the BAT CAVE Room on tonight's Comic Book Men?
  6. Nothing super impressive, but I loved the Rocketeer movie as a kid and really dig Dave Stevens stuff so here is my newly acquired Rocketeer collection...Any waviness is just from the bag...Oh yeah, that Mike Grell guy is no slouch either... ...And one of my fave covers...
  7. I figured it would be in the 9.4/9.6 range - Kinda wished it was a 9.6 (obviously)...But still pleased nonetheless. Loved 'old school' Cloak and Dagger.
  8. That is great...Funny how our stories come together...I bet there could be a whole novel on the (2nd) Clone Saga... That Hobgoblin run was/is still fantastic though...
  9. Sweet book!! http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3837038 I will see about editing my posts so Dan can add this beauty as HIS copy to the ASM #129 Society... (thumbs u
  10. Both awesome suggestions! Sweet covers...I'm looking to add two more single framed slabs to finish the batman wall. Any suggestions from my fellow batman fans/collectors? What frames are you using?
  11. I came across this sorting through a OO collection I bought...
  12. Still working and plodding my way through the OO collection I bought awhile back... Anyway, I was working on what I deemed the 'war section' of the collection and here is a small sample of some of the books and thought I would share... One thing going through all these books has reminded me of was just how freaking awesome Joe Kubert art still is...
  13. Hello everyone! I have a mix of books up for auction on ebay right now. Most of the books are late bronze age Avengers books with a mix of other titles and maybe a key or two. http://www.ebay.com/sch/more_fun_comics/m.html?item=121158577633&pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item1c359d2de1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 Thanks for looking!
  14. That bust is unbelievable. Sideshow hit that out of the park.. I don't like their bats bust, sadly. Tyler, do you have any pics of your picture ledges with books on them? I'm excited about the end result. That photoshop hack was just a steal of a gweedo 4-slab frame.. but i had been thinking either four individual frames placed closely together... or perhaps I could get my A into gear and make one. I wish I could get some Sideshow stuff... No, I don't have any pics of the picture rail...I had those set up in my apt, before my house, about 6-7 years ago...Currently pondering my new layout too...Anyway, I didn't have any slabs then and while they did the job, I found it didn't quite 'look right' with raw books on the ledge/rail...But at the time was the best I had...They would probably work better for slabs... I think I may have a picture ledge still kicking around in our storage area somewhere... I'll see what I can dig up. I hope that it works a bit better for slabs than the raw then... otherwise I've sunk $100 that could've gone towards the first appearance of punisher on them. I think I saw pics earlier in this thread with some like it, and liked it, but I couldn't find them again on a quick re-hunt Dan, I have ONE left. Sorry for the bad pics...I set it up in a closet...Should give you an idea though of how they will look...I'm thinking...Not too bad, not bad at all...

  16. CGC "frame hack" or from a specific retailer? When I lived in an apartment, I used the RIBBA picture rail/ledge to display some of my books - Those worked pretty good as I think has been mentioned. Also, Mark 1, that is the baddest Iron Man bust I have ever seen...
  17. Fly to Canada. Distract you with spidey related stuff. Archive your Hulk 181 and Iron Fist 14 in my suitcase. Fly back to my paradise home. Display the living mess out of your Hulk 181 and Iron Fist 14 in CGC frames. Above my bed. If you know what I mean. Oh no...This will not end well...
  18. Just checked them out on the IKEA site. Those are exactly what I've been looking for, thanks fort he tip! Can't go wrong at that price, either. (thumbs u Yeah - price is amazing. Same product at Bunning's Warehouse is twice the price. I've got 4 x 115cm and 5 x 55cm coming... sets me back a smidge under $100 and I'll have a ton of slabs up. Compare that to the CGC framing companies out there and you'd get maybe 4 or 5 slabs displayed for the same money - so I'm stoked. That said, I'll probably still pick up a couple of those CGC frames for a display idea I have. what's the idea?
  19. Thanks guys! A fellow boardie (Hado) told me awhile ago how to add books to my sig line once and now I forget..
  20. Double post here and in the Bronze Age forum, but I don't care.
