  1. I <3 it. "RAK" (thumbs u Ok, I would like to contribute something. I see a lot of freebies for US boardies, so instead of complaining about it and in "honour" of our nations most populous city and soon-to-be-turfed mayor come October 2014 (), I would like to present: CRAK - Canadian Random Act of Kindness Freebie with free shipping anywhere in Canada. Amazing Spider-Man #275, Canadian Price Edition! As an FYI, shipping to the US would be $8.
  2. The other flip side to all of this is that you can actually offer up something the community states is a good offering but for whatever reason, people are reluctant to take it. My first offer I had was a good offer. It was up for less than 24 hours and there was A LOT of calls for me to change it up, etc. There was a lot of "talk" while I was away. Yes, I did feel "pressure" to change it up and I would have done so WITHOUT the poking. The whole thing made it a bit of a sour experience. However, I have zero regrets about my offer that was taken. The community needs to understand that offerers are not sitting at their computer 24-7 and that sometimes an offer does need to "sit" for a little while for the right set of eyes to see it and want it, other times stuff will go lightning quick. Just the way it is. We can't have the pitchforks coming out if a) it is a genuinely good offer and b) the board needs patience to allow for others to see it and c) trust participants that they will exercise good judgment in switching up an offer if it is not taken after awhile and only start "poking" the offerer when it is pretty clear that the item needs to be switched.
  3. Yeah, me too and that is highly unusual... I think they're messing with us. At least I hope they are. (thumbs u I couldn't tell who was playing along and who actually believed it. The way these forums are sometimes, you just NEVER know...
  4. Yeah, me too and that is highly unusual... I think they're messing with us. At least I hope they are. Yeah, methinks you are correct.
  5. Yeah, me too and that is highly unusual...
  6. I wonder if it's more about a persons own offer after taking something How do you mean? Please clarify. Someone might have general interest in the offer but feel like what they could offer would not be taken; thus, receiving a strike...to then consider an additional veto if taking a future item based on historical references-becoming an outcast from the TGT. Our, some might think what they could give would be inadequate; or lack sufficient value in the eyes of those watching? And some have some good stuff waiting to give but can't take for a month and don't feel like giving stuff away for free to the occasional junk donkeys. And some offer up genuinely good stuff and get hammered if it is not taken in less than 24 hours...
  7. The last order I got back from the CGC had 3 cracked slabs, so I know exactly how you feel. Thankfully, it is on the back of the case and the posts and everything are intact so I am following up with a reholder.
  8. Just got a few books back...Pretty much expected but one very nice surprise and with it, slight disappointment. ...Of course though, just my luck, the 9.8 came back with a crack on the back of the case
  9. Claudio, If you were going to send the She-Hulk to Meeklo, where does he live? If in the USA, might be easier for ME to send it to him from Canada? Just an idea.
  10. Claudio, my understanding is not to focus on the value, offer up something that you think is acceptable. I look at what I have that isn't junk that I dont want or need.....Congrats on your haul, thanks to Wall-Crawler for the amazing offer. +1 on it is not about the value, at least it should not be. Just offer what you can, I know you are a good guy and we all have different resources. Honest effort is all that should matter. As an FYI to the group, I bought some Avengers books off of Claudio awhile ago for a buddy of mine and they were awesome and as described!
  11. Can we just please have the thread clear and focus on the actual offer?
  12. Ok, my "less than 24 hours old offer" is dead and buried. THIS is the new offer on the table. Bonus: A little 1970's fun. A little something from Canada.
  13. I was in the middle of putting a new offer together WTH do I do now, now I have to "compete" with other offers??
  14. Also, how in the hell are "strikes" even being discussed yet? The rules state: 3 Day Window to have an offer claimed. If your offer is not claimed in 3 days, you get a strike. Again, my offer has been up for less than 24 hours. I have a life. I have plenty of time to switch it up and it has been buried in So, yeah, if no one claims it I will switch it up.
  15. The thing that bothers me is when somebody doesn't bother to change up their offer after some time goes by and it's not taken. Please people. You made the effort to claim something for free. Please put the effort into making someone claims your offer. Check back in the thread after several hours. Add to it or change some items in an attempt to spark interest. Check back in the next day. If still untaken... change it up again! Etc, etc. It just requires a bit of effort on the offerer's part to keep the thread moving for the entire board. I agree and no offense to WC but he should put something else up I just got back from the lake...WTF is going on? First of all, my offer has been derailed by constant discussions on how this should work. How far back is my offer now? These discussions should not be taking place here, my Secondly, my offer has been up for LESS than 24 hours. I don't know but I think it is a solid one and I don't have the time to be checking in on it "every couple of hours". Thirdly, Kav, why don't YOU take it or actually participate in something other than just
  16. Perhaps we need a Giving Tree Discussion Thread as to not muck with what is being offered up? In any event, I am what I am putting on the table...I don't want to get a strike...
  17. Yours was awesome, I was wanting a 9.8 graded She-Hulk for my 1st appearance collection, so I at least wanted to try to match the quality of your offer!
  18. I What If...Well, the early issues anyway Here's hoping my "Give" cuts the mustard...Some folks were getting impatient!
  19. Ok here is my "Give" AVENGERS ANNUAL #10 - 1st Rogue SAVAGE SHE-HULK #1 - 1st She-Hulk SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #64 - 1st Cloak and Dagger SPIDER-WOMAN #1 - Origin of Spider-Woman WHAT IF #1 - What If Spidey joined the FF?
