  1. Here is how I would describe the feedback: A few request to turn it on A handful of adamant "this sucks get rid of it" kind of comments A greater number of people than either of groups #1 and #2 who are just quietly using the like button to highlight content, and not posting about it. You can see this group by looking at the leader board, scrolling down to posts that have likes on them, and clicking on the like counts to see who is liking content https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/leaderboard/
  2. It will be interesting to see how popular this is versus the responsive design version. I know some people have been dying for pinch-zoom, but I have a feeling that it's a minority. But we'll see!
  3. Added this tip: RESPONDING PIECE BY PIECE TO A QUOTED POST Put your cursor into their text just after the part you want to respond to and hit enter twice. This will split up the quoted post so you can respond to various pieces.
  4. The old thread was merged with the noobie questions thread perhaps accidentally. New thread while I investigate.
  5. Uh... wait, what? I'm not sure what you guys are talking about or what happened here?
  6. I think if you turn off these notifications, you will still get something over your inbox icon, but not on notifications:
  7. Is there a reason for it to be a PM? I think for a new thread there's a limit of like 10 people per thread. That's just the default. But even if I raise that limit, the huge chunk of recipients at the top is annoying.
  8. That sounds really painful... HUNDREDS of people in a PM? What's going on there?
  9. By the way, I think I could probably automate it so that when you make a calendar entry it automatically makes a post here as well. Another cool feature is that you can subscribe to an icalendar feed so you could see events in whatever calendar software you use:
  10. Hey guys, I'm just wondering if anyone has looked at the new calendar system. It has a few interesting new capabilities: RSVP so members can know who else might be at a show Comments Reviews Check out the calendar entry I made. Do you guys think you would use any of those features? https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/calendar/events/2017/4/

  13. I've looked for a plug-in that does this but there's no convenient way to bring this feature back. I miss it too.
  14. The new v1.3 themes make things much more compact. Probably not quite as much as the old boards, but more compact.
  15. Here is the new probation forum. You can find it listed among the other sub-forums in the marketplace area. https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/82-marketplace-probations/
  16. The images are just cached for a while. They won't update instantly. If they haven't updated after a day, let me know. That would be more concerning.
  17. Was your iphone connection spotty? Maybe the upload itself (rather than the file or the settings) just broke part way through?
  18. Well no, not really easy. How hard it is I'd have to check into, but generally the continuum goes like this, starting with the easiest on top: Something we can easily use the admin to configure Something we can buy/install a plugin to do and configure Something we can edit the code on a theme to do (i.e. front end colors / layout / design stuff) Something we have to write real code customization to do, and then have to keep compatible with all future versions of the board So it would need to be a pretty crucial need to get to #4.
