Yep. I was watching the auction to bid and then it was gone. Someone sweet-talked the seller into losing some money.

All right; which one of you was the sneaky buyer on this Diary Secrets? https://www.ebay.com/itm/115785143394?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=-oPTPWpwSkG&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=Whss8CvsQQu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Where in the world was the Quality Control at CGC???

I'll wait for the details in this alleged email, but if these items are literally called Mechanical Errors it seems like something the company making these errors should be on the hook to fix them and any associated costs. -

Ok. I was thrown off as the paper had only 3 bids on it in not standard staggered amounts. -

Was this a blind bid situation? -
Comics an Erb's was looking for them and Terry had the Brundage Suicide Chapel on his wall Ahhh, maybe that was him I saw while at Terry's booth then. Wouldn't mind a nice Suicide Chapel myself, though Terry's copy was out of my price range. I just bought what I liked and kept to a pretty modest budget. I'm sure I made some bad purchases, or overlooked trimming or restoration I don't know how to look for. But, overall, I had a lot of fun.

Do you have metrics for the all-Baker auction?
-
I can only speak to my very limited experience, but I focused on the covers (as there is also a wealth of background knowledge I do not have). That being said, there are many with historical significance due to the story, author, or both. But I will leave that to the experts. I'll dump a bunch of covers pics later if there is interest.

"I think his name is Gerber..." But I do agree, at the root, without the extra 12 minutes of padding (boy, he reeeeaaaalllly stretches this one), CGC is inconsistent and not refunding his money is not cool. -

The random "Girl from UNCLE" b/c girl was in the title, I suppose? -

The Heart Throbs #93, I believe, sells for a good amount (the pink-ish cover on top). I also like Heart Throbs #89 -- due to the purple cover -- but doesn't sell for too much (and you may not have). Let us know what's under those piles when they get in. -
Yeah, see, eBay is actually helping YOU out.

What a take! What a comparison! -
I looked up the notes on that one: It has some cover tanning, but the pages are OW/W. So the missing coupon knocked this one all the way down to a 1.5? I could swear I've seen front covers with an accumulation of more "missing" paper get a higher grade.
