  1. If I remember correctly there were actually two copies and he kept one for himself and lied about their only being one copy. I don’t mess with store variants because they lie so much about how many copies are available and some even claim to destroy the bulk of the copies to make it limited. I haven't followed this story that closely -- and probably don't want to -- but if Bry was pimping these mystery boxes as having 20 virgin copies (the rest being destroyed) and then kept 1 for himself.... isn't that misleading right off the bat? Either the mystery boxes then only have 19 virgin copies for buyers to get, or there are 21 total copies out there.
  2. Bakers on general don't have large census numbers. 23 sounds like a very popular issue to grade to me. For comparison:
  3. Can also use eBay's Terapeak to find prices; appears the latest one sold as the same price as the graded 9.4:
  4. He should nominate eBay for the HoS since it’s interfering with his business. Or maybe the whole hobby in general. @dylanthekid what do you think?
  5. THE Dylan — going by dylanauctions on eBay — just canceled about five auctions (ironic, right?) with a little over 24 hours to go. I’m assuming because he was not getting the prices he wanted.
  6. Rules: 1. Shipping to US addresses only 2. No returns on CGC-graded books 3. First takeit -- determined by timestamp -- in thread or PM gets the book. 4. Payment via PayPal or check (check must clear before I ship) 5. Payment must be sent or mailed within 5 days of takeit 6. No HoS or Probation buyers 7. Offers accepted via PM Pictures and Prices to follow. USPS Priority Shipping is included in the price.
  7. Yes it is I don't know the exact size of a Golden Age Shadow...but that seems like a *lot* of extra room on the side. Is this some new slab size slightly below magazine? I have a couple GA slabs next to me and they fit in the slab with barely any space on the sides. Not only that, but if you are going to give some extra room for a GA book, don't press one side directly against the well.
  8. What size slab is that? Is it the same size as the Silver Age comic?
  9. I took my entire collection to them. Some sell individually, some in groups. It is what it is. So this is them splitting your 1 collection around various auctions, not you continually sending them additional books?
  10. Is there a reason you're pushing these through Heritage -- which it appears they are lumping most into group lots -- as opposed to selling here? Is the Heritage bump that great when it comes to your net?
