I make sure to check Heritage on this stuff but somehow neglected to look at the "past" listings. Thanks for helping out this bonehead. Correct; there are a couple red spots on the cover but the flip-side doesn't show any bleed through. Considering the red spots, and the seller's asking price, I'll pass, as much as I really do enjoy this cover. Funds will be redirected to a nice looking copy of Miss Fury #2 instead.

Copper's Heating/Selling Well on Ebay

This one and the Rose and Thorn run are my favorite less talked about covers. Stargrazers also has a couple great camp covers. I managed to pick up the TPB cheap a couple weeks ago; also a winner.

GA noob here; wasn't sure where to post this so pre-apologies. Saw this while flipping through a box of early Romance. 1. Why the weird numbering for this title? 2. I definitely like the librarian painted cover, but is there any value to this one?

When I post a WTB on CL in my area I get crickets. Not sure if it's an area difference, intelligence difference, or bot difference. But it's fun to read.

Chicago-Land Show (McCook) - July 15th + 16th

What a very interesting show. I expected crowds and dealers similar to other MightyCon events but it was not to be. I'm not sure which played into it the most: Location 2-day show Weather Advertising Similar Show Other I wasn't there for the majority of Saturday but the attendance seemed way down both days. And while the overall venue is much larger than DuPage, the actual event space seemed comparable to the fairgrounds -- and looked emptier than usual with dealers/vendors/exhibitors. I did well hitting 3 major goals over the weekend, and almost had Hector take a big hit for the 4th. My purchases were way down from previous shows, buying a bunch of $2 or less stuff. One dealer had items I was interested in, but when his prices are already 5x+ the going rate, it's hard to even begin to haggle. I wasn't at the recent Wisconsin shows, so I'll let Hector (or others) speak to those shows compared to this one. -
Chicago-Land Show (McCook) - July 15th + 16th

Went through about 1/2 of my books last night to pull for the show. Looks like our booth will have full coverage between the two of us. I'll have mostly Modern stuff with sprinklings of Copper; more "semi-key" stuff, not run fillers. Good amount of Campbell and Hughes covers. Also some random monster, film, movie magazines -- very cheap. Need to clear out the nursery before the baby arrives. -

Look at this heavy-hitter. I will be fulfilling junque needs, and only on Sunday to boot! Looking forward to breaking even. I haven't gone through any yet, but will be a similar setup to the Feb show: $1 boxes, $3 boxes, 50% off boxes, and 20% off wall books. Will include a lot of new stuff at good prices, but no huge keys for 50% off. -

Now that you're expanding into Hughes stuff and TMNT, there will be comics for you This is the first time for a show at this location; not sure what that means in terms of dealers: new, old, same. What slabs are you looking for? -
Grading Errors - NG isnt really a grade..
manetteska replied to comxdlr's topic in Comic Book Grading and Restoration Issues
Wasn't there a seller on eBay selling boatloads of double/triple/quadruple modern comics? I don't recall if they were graded or not; I'll try and find it... -

Yes! A Sunday buyer. I was afraid with my limited Sunday-only schedule I would only be seeing dealers. -
