  1. You originally said: But when I pointed out the two bidders who remained in the auction (once shills were removed according to the above) who bid over $1200, you now say they are also shills? Sorry, it's hard to keep track.
  2. Yes, a theory but not necessarily a fact. We will most likely never know if the bidding was prompted by prices of previous sales (shilled or not) or just two people wanting an item. So for this specific listing, a seller without any known affiliation with the shillers (who actively removed and blocked the shillers) sold an item for a good price to a "real" buyer. Still not seeing the upside for the shillers (bidders or sellers) if they never actually sell the item. (I am not saying this is all totally legit, just trying to figure out "to what end?")
  3. How do you know it would have ended at $500 without previous shill sales? In the last hour of the auction -- when bad bids/bidders were removed/blocked -- it appears two legitimate buyers both wanted it enough to both bid $1200.
  4. Are there links to "verified" sales at inflated prices?
  5. Admittedly I have not looked at every single auction or sale, but if these items keep popping up from the same seller, and "won" by the same "fake" buyers, where does the buck stop? Have there been "verified" sales of these items for the inflated prices?
  6. Were these actually numbered or did you just pick a number to be added?
  7. I'm going to try and show up Friday night; looking for non-Superhero Golden Age, 80's Indie, Hughes stuff, Stevens stuff, etc. Oh, and magazines.
  8. You looking to part with some of these recent Cole pickups?
  9. Says the guy with the IT avatar... I'm not going to pass judgment based on 2 minutes, but it looks like an interesting premise. I'd rather see this than another bland X-Men movie where villain <insert name here> is a mutant who wants to destroy all humans for <insert reason here> but is thwarted in the end as the team comes together / all mutants band together. (Also throw in plot points where the team breaks up / fights with each other.) I realize that sounds like at least one, if not two other superhero franchises, but given all of the different source material and characters X-Men could draw from, it makes the final product more disappointing.
  10. No clue on counterfeits, but the 1st print of TMNT #2 is white at the bottom-left corner of the cover.
  11. Lastly, you can also refine the search to exclude specific sellers as well. On the left-hand side, go to "More Refinements" at the bottom --> Seller --> Specific Sellers (Exclude) Once all of that is done, you can save your search and all of your qualifiers will be intact.
  12. You can add -photocopy to your search. Or -facsimile or -reprint / -reprints. Should help.
  13. Final call -- 20% off listed prices (above with links). Closing this and sending out invoices Wed morning.
