  1. Nice grade? Its tough to find in higher grade from memory. I haven't seen a copy in years. I didn't take it out but guessing 9.0 or so. A white ding on the bottom front cover and some general shelf wear against the black cover. Didn't see the back.
  2. Oh, and I also saw a raw first print TMNT 1 in person at a store. I asked the employee what printing it was and she opened and flipped through it to check; probably had no idea it was worth more than every other comic in the display case. Severely overpriced, though. Purchased a Zatanna set 1-16 instead.
  3. Saw an Akira 35 yesterday for $15; worth going back to get? Or good enough just to see it? Picked up another Gladstone Barks Scrooge for cheap instead.
  4. Detective #850 http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_sop=1&_nkw=detective%20comics%20850&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684 Thank you; had no idea.
  5. Any particular reason? Saw it slowly creeping back up... Some overlooked covers in that series.
  6. My quick thoughts on this sub-topic: 1. Wild = not eBay, can be an LCS, HPB, show, but has to be in a "random" box or stack. If it's on the wall, not that wild. 2. Books you rarely see, not necessarily high-dollar books in a $1 box. 3. Books you rarely see, not necessarily a book you always find but here's one that's 9.8. Again, *my* thoughts. Oh, and no variants.
  7. I was not expecting a 9.8 copy -- on any of the three. I was expecting decent looking copies I wouldn't have to spend more time/money to adjust them to look decent.
  8. I like how the eBay listings for the variant either do not state a specified grade and just say "in a polybag" to avoid describing said condition, or post close-up pictures while in a polybag but don't show the middle of the cover -- where all the damage occurs.
  9. That also occurred with the Ghost Rider Yes, and they did send an email saying they could remove from polybag before sending...though not sure what that would have done. Creasing was already there and apparently there are "no replacements".
  10. Received my Frankie's order today; shipped well but several creases on all 3 versions. Virgin the worst (of course) then normal then bw.
  11. This one has already been shown, right? http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMAZING-SPIDER-MAN-688-LIZARD-VARIANT-VERY-HIGH-GRADE-SIGNED-CAMPBELL-STAN-LEE-/222311371467?hash=item33c2ca52cb:g:cUwAAOSwZJBX~MM0
  12. No idea what that Harley is a 9.4... But the rest are
  13. That listing is so in my face! Jerome Good luck, don't let the private listing or the one guy with over a dozen bids in half a minute yesterday discourage you. Private bids...
  14. 2 Valiant comics -- Solar #10 and Harbinger #1 -- are two immediate examples which come to mind when thinking a 9.8 is usually 2x a 9.6. Solar #10 is notoriously difficult to receive a CGC 9.8 on.
  15. Ugh that's terrible. I might be looking at Christmas on mine by the time they come back. Ouch! Don't know if it's worth it.... However, I guess we'll see when it does move to CGC and the grades I get. Some of the books I submitted I felt were borderline 9.8. I just didn't want to risk it. Next time, I'll take a chance and get them graded. Taking way too long in my opinion. After 3 months using Modern Fast Track Press, my books are finally at CGC. Received by CGC today (11/8). It's been an extremely long 3 months since August 3rd. I hope the press was worth it. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever use CCS again. The time it takes to press a book is stupid ridiculous! They've probably reverted back in that time; paper memory!
  16. I may be a little late on this, but AH has a Deviant Art account where he has comments on a lot of his covers and other artwork: http://adamhughes.deviantart.com/gallery/ Here is CW #74: 51 is there as well, but not commented on.
