  1. Correct (to the under-reporting, not necessarily Leavenworth). Many view the buying and selling as a hobby and don’t consider it (or know about the reporting laws) when it comes to tax time. Now the low threshold for a form is forcing them to find out and with the exponential prices seen on many keys it will be interesting times.
  2. Well, there is worrying about it because one is overthinking the math, and then there is worrying about it because the payment to the IRS will go from $0 to several thousand.
  3. If one is going to lie about profit/loss, why add the short box at all? Just say the grail itself was a loss.
  4. Thanks to a couple big sales I was able to make some nice additions to the PC this year.
  5. Agreed -- I like this feature a lot. Was contemplating a 5.5 and looked up the notes -- had the top and bottom staples detached at cover, though only the bottom was obvious. I don't know if the notes are wrong, or I'm reading them wrong, but either way, saved me some hassle.
  6. Whatever you do for storage, please never use these types of "bags": I've seen a lot of dealers use them at shows and they're pretty terrible (to me). Very difficult to flip through boxes of comics with these, and the top is open, so either you have to double-bag the comic, or leave it open to the elements.
  7. 130point. It sounds like an offer was made of $1/pt and $6500 does sound like a good price — but still a ton of money.
  8. Is there a story in the comic for ARE YOU A FAT GIRL or is it just a question?
  9. https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?ItemID=54013320 Wow. Congrats.
  10. Ahhh, so that’s why MCS’s copy sold yesterday. That copy was in my cart and then I had second thoughts as the cover seemed faded compared to other copies.
  11. We all knew this would be a live action Spider-Verse movie, no real surprise there. The movie's direction with Aunt May completely blindsided me. That's a surprise I did not see coming. We all did? Without the trailers which then led to additional speculation?
  12. Is there a way to get "notes" on some of the lower grade items? I thought I saw notes on some listing but not others. For instance, browsing some GA comics I see one listed at GD+ which looks better but I have no idea what the exact defects are. They "could" be: spine split, detached cover or centerfold, major tears, water damage, brittleness, etc. Someone had to grade it a GD+ so why not let the buyers in on the reasoning.
  13. Good movie, I just wonder how amazing it would have been if the trailers were limited to the first 5 mins of the film. And the surprises were actually surprises.
