  1. It was more about the content than the font size. Is it optioned?
  2. yeah, I did the "sell similar" and kept the full title in my haste. I usually stay away from that sort of thing but yeah, optioned. Sorry. OPTIONED They’re your caps not mine, bro. And I don’t think it is optioned, correct?
  3. CGC 9.4 Sandman #8 Editorial Variant (signed by Gaiman) sold for $2,800 according to GPAnalysis (Best Offer accepted) - Cert# 1614155004 Thanks. Time to test the waters....
  4. That's a serious sale....but we're talking only a couple of these books out there, right? On the subject of the paypal credit, those terms are awful, has anyone ever used it?! If we're talking graded, the census shows 72 overall, of which 5 are SS (highest grade a 9.6). Allegedly 600 were produced.
  5. Fewer than 75 CGC graded copies and I would guess most people who own them didn't buy them to flip. It would take a big price bump to shake them loose, so I'm going to guess that it's too niche, but then again, there are twice as many CGC graded copies of Amazing Spider-Man #678 variant that sell for a lot more and it's the first appearance of nothing. Well the one on eBay did sell; can't tell for how much though as watchcount is broke. https://www.ebay.com/itm/VERY-RARE-SANDMAN-8-EDITORIAL-VARIANT-SIGNED-BY-NEIL-GAIMAN-1-OF-5-Netflix-/123641616165?hash=item1cc99d5725%3Ag%3AZncAAOSwsDZcSQlY&nma=true&si=NLtnOes4tiuUozI8uh7TQgXOKfo%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  6. Aha. It's because I purchased an item, received bucks, used them, then returned that item during another bucks period. I was not trying to game the system; the time from paying for the item to receiving and returning was 2 weeks.
  7. I somehow have negative eBay bucks?
  8. That's a pretty early "variant" cover, no? Yep, and there's actually 2 more -- both through Dynamic Forces -- but the real (current) standout is the JG Jones one.
  9. Aha! For once I've done the opposite (purely on accident, of course). Right before the announcement I sent in a couple #1's for a pre-screen. Don't know if they'll cut it (my Sandman issues always seems to have soft spines) but at least they'll get a press along the way.
  10. + Inhumans vol2 #5 + Black Widow (marvel knights) #1 - variant selling better than reg cover
  11. Yeah, but the seller also refers to this as a "big" get for the CGC error collectors out there. Who?
  12. Damn is that really the cover? I thought it was just one seller being creative with the image of the book. Another question is why wasn't there a variant for issue 6? Seems like there were variants for all previous issues Never mind all that; this is what Wolverine looks like now?!
  13. It was a $46 purchase, already covered for $50 through USPS priority shipping. Didn’t seem necessary on that amount for signature as it’s already covered for damages and loss. If this guy goes through with any type of claim I will dispute. I probably would have tried to work with him if he didn’t immediately open a refund request when I did nothing wrong. Im any case he’s going on my blocked bidder list. Blocked another guy last week for being an ahole. I would quit eBay but it’s the only venue to get the right eyes on some of these non-key comics. Update: According to my eBay email, the buyer waited a while and asked Customer Support to step in and review the case. They would have a final decision in 48 hours. 15 minutes later another email showed up saying the Case is Closed with no refund to the Buyer. The Case will not impact my Seller Performance and any Feedback which was left (I don't think there was) would be removed. The "ruling": We received tracking information that shows the item was delivered to the buyer's address.
  14. Yup. Here are the comic creators for the Seattle show this weekend: https://www.acecomiccon.com/events/seattle/creator-spotlight.html/ The Shamus brothers are trying to sell the Ace shows as different than Wizard, but I'm not so sure about that. I don't know every single exhibitor by name, but for Seattle I'm seeing 3 definite comic book dealers. I go to comic cons to buy comic books; not for celebrities, or autographs (SS), or t-shirts, or Lego, etc. I guess I don't understand how (or why) ACE is calling itself a Comic con and not a Celebrity/Pop Culture con. If ACE wants to be different than Wizard (and I think it is, at least in the exhibitor/dealer arena), then don't say "comic" con.
  15. What people fail to realize, it seems, with undercutting is you are perpetuating that act. You think you are the only one who is going to undercut like there isn't someone waiting to undercut you? If you want to realize market value, put it up for auction. No way to be mad about that. What I don't understand is the mantra of "repeat buyers" when setting a low price. 1. If you set that price the repeat buyers will expect that type of discount going forward. 2. You don't really need repeat buyers as I'm sure a lot of "new" buyers would be interested in a large discount.
  16. Nice books on the wall (don’t recall a lot of GA — maybe some Superman or Batman) that are above going rate. Limited, rotating stock in the store itself. I’d say as much space for new books as for back issues. Don’t know if they’re going to bring more stock in for the sale.
  17. Good news: Paypal rescinded their "we keep our 3%" policy change! Link?
  18. I'd say that's more than annoying. Not only is it nearly a month since purchase, if done through PayPal you have to eat 3% "return fee", right?
