This book was being offered to me and I had the same reservations. I was not able to examine it in-hand. I was still interested but the price was a little higher than I was comfortable with — especially seeing the top staple pop in the pictures. I waited and it’s been sold to someone else. Not crying over this one; it wasn’t meant to be and detached staples are a defect I try very hard to avoid. I know it’s hard to do in golden age since many issues show up rarely, but you have to stick to your guns.

I love collecting comics but I just don’t have the pocketbook for it anymore.

Is this considered a mega key?

Considering the different sources and different information, what does CGC use (on any GA book) to determine correct page count and story contents?

Thank you for the reply. That is what I’m thinking as well — GCD in error. This owner also had a Power #1 with 52 pages and I don’t think it’s just a coincidence. Interstingly, CGC has the publisher as Holyoke but other places — and the comic itself — have Narrative. And each issue of Power by Narrative has a different city of publication: New York, St Louis, Chicago. I ended up buying the Power 4. It looks very nice but has a small piece of tape on the cover; will need to find someone to remove that. Probably spent too much but oh well. Maybe it will lead to more deals in the future.

No, that’s the right book. I have one in hand that has all of the stories and story pages mentioned on comics.org, but it’s only 52 pages. For a “missing” 16 pages there has to be at least one story not noted or it really does only have 52 pages. Also, someone posted all page scans to comicbookplus and that is also 52 pages.

Hi - I need some quick help here. Have a Power Comics with 52 pages but GCD and another site say 68 pages. I matched up the stories and page counts to GCD and it all matches. What gives?
