  1. So showing off your books without showing off your books? I can tell from spine as well, just some are mashed together and bad lighting/flash. A couple Boys #1...
  2. Fantastic! I think these need to be fanned out a bit more. I see: Elephantmen 18 sketch, Power Girl 27, Punisher 102, Superman Adventures 5, Flash 197, some Gotham City Sirens, some Hughes Wonder woman, Mon Knight 60...
  3. Awesome report, RM. Love the wall pics and the boardie pics. Missed this show (maybe next year?) but flying out that way for WonderCon in March. Are you setting up?
  4. You can say more; it is Friday after all.
  5. Is this Web of Horror #27 that's been bouncing around for some time a mini-find or a private hoard?
  6. $350 + 18% (or so) premium. It's definitely cut weird and rolled, but I'm not able to say if it was definitively trimmed or not. I would have taken a risk at a lower price point, but for at least $443 I was out. The winner was also not in the room -- though could have checked out the comics before and bid from home.
  7. Yes, they were the originals from what I saw. The winning bid didn't come from someone in the room, so I wonder if he/she was able to look before buying. The grades and descriptions given by the auction house were not very good.
  8. Thanks for the replies. I was able to look at it in person and saw some rough, choppy pieces on the right edge. This was up at a local auction on Sunday; I was in up to a point but didn't want to take the risk. Probably more astounding is this lot of GA that was up for auction: Auction estimate was $100-$150; was debating my max (incl buyer premium) when the lot opened at $400.
  9. Is this potentially trimmed? Or other? Or just too hard to tell from pictures?
  10. A Mile High "misplaced inventory" or a legit lost in the mail?
  11. Cool. Everyone loves looking at carp. Not a waste at all.
  12. It was originally intended to be a thread to post great deals/steals you found on eBay. Now it seems like it's a place to post *anything* you buy on eBay -- which is what the "This week in your collection" one is about.
  13. Random grab bags also aren't allowed, but typing into eBay's search bar "comic g" quickly identifies "Comic grab bag" as the top choice (even above "comic golden age"). eBay's policy: Policy overview We don't allow listings that sell an opportunity to win an item either by chance or in a skill contest. Specifically, we don't allow listings that promote giveaways, lotteries, sweepstakes, random drawings, raffles, or contests. These types of promotions are highly regulated and may be unlawful in many states. There was a time I would flag these when I see them but there are too many and I can't help out all the fools. And, as so often is the case, leaving them up gets eBay at least 10% of the sale if not 13%. On a similar note I was wondering if eBay "double dips" when using eBay gift cards. Meaning I buy a $50 GC and use it on a $50 item. Does eBay also hit the seller for a 10% (or similar) FVF effectively netting $55 on a $50 GC?
  14. I believe that's Powdered Toast Man from Ren & Stimpy.
  15. HTF book in an outstanding grade! (And a great price for those with larger pocketbooks than myself.)
