  2. Think baby Jesus has a coupla blues and thought bubbles stashed somehwere?
  3. Just me thinking aloud: I saw that crazy auction price of $400+ last night.......was wondering how or why it could get that high in spite of the limited print run... A significant factor involved IMHO about the price spike is related to how quickly the lower priced BINs have been snatched up. If I was lucky enough to have caught a $150 BIN or anything under $200 I probably would have just grabbed it immediately (how many refreshers are out there on these boards alone?). In that type of climate you'll see bidders get crazy at the end of an auction. I'm sure there are folks out there that just want to grab and run......and not get caught up in further speculation price spikes. That auction was fairly aggressive, there were more than a few folks bidding....and it had hovered in the 300+ range for quite a significant period of time in bidding terms. With the rapid consumption of the BINs and the price already at 300+ I'm sure people believed that was going to be the "new" price at the very least. Tack on a few snipers and voila you've got 400 and change. Honestly I'm not surprised by anything at auction these days. I just wouldn't be quick to comment on the volatility of the market or that the bubble is going to implode at any moment....... The indicators for me personally just don't seem to point in that direction. In fact, had I listened to everyone's commentary about everything I'd have purchased an underground bunker and stocked it for the apocalypse a long time ago. Anyway, this dead horse has been so beaten it's time to pass it onto those European restaurants and chains for lunch.
  4. No silver linings eh CB? I mean it can't ALL be doom and gloom bro...
  5. That RRP seems to be increasing still....but I do think that this comic will be a solid $500 raw shortly (like a few days at most) and slabs will be yet more ala $700-$1000 style (no sarcasm disclaimer).
  6. If you detect any sarcasm from me, I didn't intend there to be any in that last post.... I'm straight up serious.
  7. If my crystal ball is tuned in properly.....they will have exactly the same chance a snowball does in hell of pulling that off....LMAO. I mean comeon....it's like a 500 print run, with 200 held back. Essentially there's 300 of those jimmies out there. You've got Nowhere Men #1 straight up non-variant 9.8 CGC Blues hitting at a recorded high of $175.00.... With the extremely scarce availability, how could the raws of these variants not go for at least that...... If you extrapolate that and include the speculatey greed variable.....and the heat of the moment Ebay auction mentality.....you're gonna see a $400+ raw surface as we did tonight. My guess, these gals slabbed are gonna be similar in $ to the Saga RRP....if not a wee bit more. $1000 is no stretch, with $750 being a no-brainer.
  8. Watch the rest of those blue NWM variant auctions go off the deep end of $.... This is what happened with the first few PP#1's and lots......they got scooped for mad prices out of the blue and the snowball effect got the rest into high gear....that train still hasn't stopped rolling or even slowed down.... Choo------Choooo!
  9. .....you think that comic is going to drop from $400+ to $50 tomorrow?
  10. When do you think that orange NWM is gonna demonstrate an equivalent amount of heat compared to the blue?
  11. about the same as a steak dinner for 4 Isn't that going to be extremely variable? If I hit Smith and Wollensky, Peter Luger's or the Palm, it's going to be appreciably different than chowing down at Longhorn, Outback or Sizzler bro. We going to a cheapy steak dinner or are we going all out here?
  12. all of them are like that apparently. They're all wavy? Looks like you can "wave" goodbye to that $140 filly. Gone like the wind.
  13. It'll be edifying to see what a slab goes for when they start to hit the bay.
  14. same person selling all of those...boy they must have been pressing the flesh to get that many. Seriously man....WTF is up with that seller?! Like no feedback to speak of....and he/she has tons of those blue NWM. Something seems uber fishy.
  15. I was definitely the happiest kid on the block that day!!! GL + ME =
  16. I sold a 7.0 on eBay at auction for over $6K just recently. If you're filter81, then that was me. Nice to meet ya.
  17. I am dumbfounded by 2013 to date. Maybe the Mayans were right.....LMAO!
  18. I'm dumbfounded with the $ on that #2. Totally off the chain!
  19. Is it REALLY that much of a hassle? Put comic in box, send box to CGC or facilitator with $ for grading.....wait for comic. The waiting is the hardest part.
  20. Jinkies Scooby!!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/370761462499?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/200896782591?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 And I thought #3 was supposed to be a sleeper!

  23. Like I suggested before: I smell PRIVATE wine soaked Sarasota signing. How could that suck? Some bottles of liquor, some SS for the CGC....warmer weather. Methinks we could tempt Tyler as well......just don't know what his soft spot is. Someone get Kurtis to squeal about Tyler's achilles heel.
