  1. Convergence 2: He's born there, named there and even though he is a baby he sure doesn't look like one. He looks like a little...
  2. Venom #2 second print Agreed. I had the first print on my wall at Heroes and had NUMEROUS people ask me for the second. I've never actually seen one in person. Tough book and BEAUTIFUL too ! Trying to get them out of other collectors hands is damn near impossible... for good reason ! Which Venom... I'm guessing the 2011 series with the red background  . I couldn't find any listed on eBay or other sites. I could be wrong, though. Venom #2 2nd print (2011) I just don't like the way he's holding that gun. I dig the 4th print pink cover for issue 1 but I am not sure how tough it is ti find.
  3. You buy any? And those ten to the 30 something current auctions and you've got a nice deep puddle forming. Sorry, by "never hit the sales floor" I meant that they weren't for sale. I guess he will be ebaying some of them You post implies that you are friends with the guy so my question is appropriate. You said " never hit the sales floor ", that doesn't mean you didn't purchase any. I could see that, but no I didn't get any because they probably would've been the current ebay going rate. It's a shop I don't go into too often for deals as they seem to be pretty up to snuff about which book is hot today and tomorrow & it's a bit out of the way driving wise and very very cramped in there. However, the owner is as nice as can be and it's a good spot for incentive variants that are a year or 2 old and they do get in hard to find keys now and again. You'll pay market price for a Tomb of Dracula #10 but at least you can check it out in person Sounds like my kind of store!

  5. You buy any? And those ten to the 30 something current auctions and you've got a nice deep puddle forming. Are you combining the Retail with the Direct Sales auctions ? If so, why? They are 2 different books. As i type this there are 41 current auctions listed for Justice League 51 error with a total of 3 Direct Sales copies available. I stopped counting half way down the list at over 100 + available copies of retail Error/Misprints If you search Justice League 51 you get 507 auctions, in Modern 235 come up, of those how many are the error? I do see that some people do in fact have multiples listed in their auctions. When you add Luthor or recalled or error to the search you get roughly 35-40 auctions. http://www.ebay.com/sch/Modern-Age-1992-Now/900/i.html?_from=R40&_sac=1&_nkw=justice+lt I doneague+51 Run a search of sold Justice League 51 and you get less than 100 and not all of them are the book in question. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=justice+league+51&_sac=1&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&_osacat=900&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xjustice+league+51+error.TRS0&_nkw=justice+league+51+error&_sacat=900

  7. Sorry youre wrong. See how easy that was? Sorry you're wrong. Yup it's easy enough. You would think people here would actually want to discuss an actual modern that's heating up on Ebay in this thread without being a about it. I guess it's all just print runs and vitriol.
  8. I don't see a flood. 70 something total sales since the release http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=justice%20league%2051%20error&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684 Currently there are only 35 listings. You dont see a flood with 35 listings (several of which have MULTIPLE COPIES as high as 8 per seller) for a regular book with ZERO key attributions to it which has LESS REGULAR COPIES LISTINGS (I counted 16)? Boy you must be trying hard Nope not a flood. Also there seems to be a demand for these with most selling around 50. Let's see what happens over the next week. The funny thing is I am soooo not a supporter of books like these but I just can't see a reason why the few want to minimize the value of an error like this. Everytime someone comes and OUT OF THE BLUE says: The funny thing is I am soooo not a supporter of books like these. He is a supporter of books like these. Otherwise, why on earth would you say that? It has absolutely zero context value to the topic discussed. Fact: there is a flood. Otherwise the book wouldnt have dropped in price by 50% in a period of 24 hours. That all you need to know. But read my reply above again for more demonstrations of the flood at hand. The fact of the matter is also that a book with an equal hype (most will argue even more of a value than this random one) had a similar flood and look where its now Will this book stay at 40-50? I seriously doubt it will. But thats just an educated guess. I agree. Will you be able to move it for 40-50 at the same quantities you move them today. OBVIOUSLY NOT. This is how anybody should look at it: When a stock it high - sell. There will always be another one next week. If you missed out on it, too effin bad! Sorry but this is still not a flood. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=justice+51+error&rt=nc and no I don't support error comics because I don't collect them and if you read my statement I give a clear reason "why on earth would you say that."

  10. Does the Djurdjevic cover connect to other variants like the Ultimate Fallout run? It looks like some other X titles have similar looking art to that cover? No one is yelling, But even trying to estimate matters when people went out in droves and bought every error copy, and eBay is flooded for sale is a tactic to try and convince a market that it is a good purchase, when we all know it isn't. Wide spread, and effecting both direct and newsstand version of the book. Is it likely to be less than the regular edition, yes. But saying 6,000 copies is all there are for the newsstand is throwing a dart at a board with print runs. BAM also got them, and likely every other retail has a potential to get copies. I am not going to say you are wrong but I went to BAM and they told me they did not get them. Maybe that's just that particular BAM but the guy checked the computer.

  12. Collector's should want both. Also does anyone know if this book only went to Barnes and Noble? Again the manager I talked to said that if the book was recalled and they have yet to put it on the shelf then it won't make it to the shelf and that other stores would pull them. I guess it pays to get to Barnes and Noble now even though most of their books sit on the newsstand for extended periods.
  13. I don't think we are really saying the B&N is the play here. Sure it is rare in comparison to the regular #51 but in most cases something is always the most in demand so the discussion is more weighted to the Direct Sales errors . Anyhoo, Superman Lois and Clark 1 or 8 or ? I don't think we are really saying the B&N is the play here So... You are at a B&N There are ten NM copies of JLA #51 error on the rack. You pass?!? It doesn't have to be Walking Dead #1 to be a solid play. I personally like twenty dollar bills. Many Barnes and Noble stores have not received these and from what I am being told 3-5 copies per store is more accurate for the stores that have.
  14. Gets NO love unless it's high grade. There's too many out there but with that scene from X-Men Apocalypse people aren't bashing it nearly as much. It's still being bashed. The storyline has nothing to do with Laura. Attempted ret-con by speculators notwithstanding. -J. Still haven't read the issue have you? Yes I have, have you ? -J. I was buying the title when it came out. We have had this discussion before. I asked this last time it was brought up: Is there any X-23 issue that specifically references Wolverine 80? I just went through Wolverine 80 last week while I was filing some comics and there's nothing in Wolverine 80 that's even close to a connection to X-23. I look at it like this. I read the book at the time. I was quite sure at the time it was plot drop for later. Why else would they put up a vial of his tissue/blood clear labeled for you to see it(94) and have the Native storyline(04) years later with Sabretooth clearly was leading that way. Does it come out and say it nope sure doesn't. Does the potential exist to do so, is really the question. I think it does and at some point it will be referenced. Now keep mind I am not selling this book currently I have a copy or two somewhere, but I would have to dig to find it. To which I respond (and this is from my recollection) : 1) Marvel doesn’t acknowledge it. AT ALL. The earliest reference *I* can find to it is a post on Bleeding Cool c.2014. Bleeding Cool has NO affiliation with Marvel whatsoever. 2) It completely ignores facts established in her origin book: a) Her name has NOTHING to do with a sample name. It specifically refers to the fact she’s the 23rd attempt to create a female clone (“X” refers to X-CHROMOSOME, NOT the Weapon X project). b) The sample she was created from was recovered by Dale Rice during Logan’s escape from Weapon X. Sutter recovered it from his corpse immediately after. There’s no evidence that Dr. Munoz was ever involved with the Facility, or that it ever passed through her hands. It’s fanon. Period. That’s all it ever was, and that’s all it ever WILL be. ESPECIALLY so long as Marvel doesn’t acknowledge it. For anyone to imply that it has “traction” is at BEST laughable. -J. Wizard Magazine mentioned this comic in some capacity long before 2014. I believe the creators of X-23 may have denied that they used the vile from Wolverine 80 as any sort of inspiration but the studio making X films seems to like the idea. If a vile of blood ever directly leads to the cinematic creation of X-23 Wolverine 80 should do just fine. No matter what the truth is, the coincidence is kinda cool.

  16. Congrats and flip quick.. Remember when this was a 50$ book? If it gets made this book will be back. Now is the time to buy just not in fine.
  17. Not a plot but it seems the PM groups share the info and then a day or 2 later, it ends up here or CBSI, or CHU, or BleedingCool, or...well, you get the general idea. Some people snatch and then share after they've had their fill. Nothing new but it seems more noticeable lately. Many people who used to regularly visit the modern section moved on to the Bronze and a copper sections. As dollar bins got cleaned out, some came back but a lot just disappeared from the site altogether. Speculating on moderns is tricky but not so much if you're actually turning the pages and reading the innards. It would be surprising if some of those books that were hot 2-5 years ago didn't heat up again and step to the forefront. Outcast has done it and others will follow. Just keep reading. I think ya might be giving too much credit to the PM groups. It's pretty easy to find a particular announcment and buy the books within minutes. The Scarlet thing popped up on cbsi within hours of the rumor leaking and I see that happen all the time. CHU does often seem to be a day late to the party though.
  18. Batman Rebirth should be a hot book. Duke is in the Batcave talking to Batman about being a Robin... and Batman tells him he has something else in mind. A new costume is shown to Duke. No name is given to the suit but Duke is shown wearing it towards the end of the book... nice spoiler...hope a cool name goes with it. Edit Image found There is a Lark suit in Detective Comics 27 This book also contains the first black Robin.
  19. Great book, quite rare. It is previewed in Guerilla Groundhogs 2 also.
  20. I thought he was published in Fantastic Fables 1 Indicia date is March 1987. Dragon Quest, Fantastic Fables #1, Grips and Nightmaster all predate it. It is (was) rare because it was not distributed due to the printer not being paid. About 10-ish years ago Gary Dolgoff (I think) bought them started selling them. It is the 1st Cuda, I believe. [/quote Cool, thanks for the info

  22. I wonder what the 4.99 newsstand will go for? Do the newsstand versions generally hit the stands the same day as the direct edition? They usually come out 2 weeks later. Normally this is the case but not always. The place I go to had the newsstands for 32 and that Red Tool HQ book the same day as the comic store that I frequent. It would be nice to know how many of the 4.99 cover priced editions were printed but I suspect there are far less that the direct editions.
  23. Not that I believe the market should ever determine a comic first appearance but for those who say let the market decide it sure looks like DC Spotlight is the first appearance of the Watchmen. http://www.ebay.com/sch/Collectibles/1/i.html?_from=R40&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&_sac=1&_nkw=dc+spotlight
