  1. Currently, this is the only Hughes cover I have that’s graded.
  2. #freethemullet That is so ‘Roadhouse’! I’m not sure about DC’s decision to rerelease these s-shield covers. There are so many copies of the originals out there that comic shops can’t even give them away, even 30 years later. I assume these are die-cut covers like the originals?
  3. Hello! I didn’t know about these 30th anniversary books for the return of Superman until this thread. I’m not planning on picking any of these up.
  4. It was great seeing a lot of legends from the Golden Age together, like Gil Kane, Murphy Anderson and Julius Schwartz. I thought I saw a convention attendee flipping casually through an ASM #1 also. I’m only about 35 minutes into the video, within the first five minutes I knew I had to share the link on here.
  5. Bane has a daughter?! I’ve been gone too long from modern Batman comics. Anyone here read and and like Joker #2?
  6. Well done! You have some really tough books to find in 9.8 like Action Comics #683 and #684 second printings, impressive.
  7. I’ll be curious to see what this one goes for, and if the reserve is met. https://www.ebay.com/itm/335079299800?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=Xi76VLfRR32&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Nss0N0HSQV2&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  8. I went for it but lost by $5.00. I think another 9.8 of this edition sold for $1000.00.
  9. That’s a great display piece! It’s been four months now since I read this story for the first time. I’m still thinking about it, I have mixed emotions because I would love the know what became of the other villains in the story and of Greyson, but I can also appreciate just leaving it alone. What a great way to end the original Detective Comics run before the New 52.
  10. Right?! Maybe people were being polite. It sticks out like a sore thumb now.
  11. I no longer have this book, turns out it was really a second printing.
  12. I’m staying in Denver for a few nights. The Mile High Comics mega store isn’t far from where I’m staying. It’s 90s drek but it’s also my childhood and teenage years.
  13. Looking back through this journal posting got me thinking about another OG that I haven’t seen in awhile. I want to give thinks to @bryan91 for being a real trailblazer for the Death and Return of Superman registry set. If memory serves me correctly, bryan91 was THE first to submit or collect many of these later printings for books in the registry set beyond the multiple printings of Man of Steel #18 and Superman #75. To the Godfather, thank you for laying the groundwork!
  14. Slim pickings at my LCS today, but it’s better than nothing.
  15. Scooped this guy up a few months back. I would love to find some more of these Jurassic Park spinoffs.
