When will/will the WALKING DEAD bubble burst?
Hulksdaddy1 replied to The-Collector's topic in Comics General
Sold my WD 1-100 run a year or two ago for $4500. Used that money to buy my AF #15. Best move then, now, and in the future. -

Walking dead will always have some value, just don't believe it will maintain what it is now. No WD lunchboxes in T'R'U. -
Yeah, it was a nice grab! Absolutely!
-
GPA should note that the seller was a fool then.

Hmmm, what are the opinions on this sale? Why so low? http://www.ebay.com/itm/TEENAGE-MUTANT-NINJA-TURTLES-TMNT-1-CGC-GRADE-9-0-First-1st-Printing-/251524697958?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item3a900a4f66&nma=true&si=oEWac0nR91LAqQb4v922vVlstRY%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

New Mutants 98. Deadpool appreciation.
Hulksdaddy1 replied to B-Smooth's topic in Copper Age Comic Books
Very nice, how'd you come about them? I only have one copy, but will pick up more whenever I come across them. Own a shop, guy brought them in. -
My son, and all his friends, love the turtles. Could give two *spoons* about Superman. Superman current sales suck(just over 37k in April, 2014, ranking 54th. BTW, that is 20k more than the TMNT book. No doubt TMNT comic sales are weak, but their overall presence is strong.), and have for a long time. Yet Action #1 seems to do ok. I bring this up because your correlation between current sales and long term interest is flawed. I don't see the turtles ever becoming just a footnote, as they now have 30 years of pop culture significance under their belt. Same place Spidey was in 1992. I own AF 15, and TMNT 1. Love them both. Nothing beats Spidey, and I wouldn't trade my AF for anything other than a higher grade. But TMNT 1 is THE book of the last 30 years, and I don't see it doing anything but appreciating.

ASM 300 Appreciation/ Club Thread
Hulksdaddy1 replied to DeadpoolJr.'s topic in Copper Age Comic Books
Couple of tickets to the show. -
I'd like to see the size of the pieces torn from the pages. That being said, I think $750-900 is not unreasonable for it. It presents very well, and since it's slabbed, not looking inside anyway. It will appreciate as time goes by as well, so still a good book to snag.

There ya go, PB!

Got 10 back today. Will add the others once Photobucket acknowledges that they are there.
