  1. Love it, love it! (thumbs u This was always one of my favorites as well. Not sure if it's because the art is so much fun, or because it's one of the earliest Pep's I ever bought, but I'm a fan either way! Nice looking copy too. I should pull mine for a look, it's been a while.
  2. Could you post the list please? I was curious as to which 10 MLJ comics Heritage considered the rarest myself (Note: They did qualify the list with a maybe). Here's a direct link with the covers represented: http://comics.ha.com/c/newsletter.zx?frame=no&id=4515#collector-c GREAT covers all.......great images to share. I did not know that Heritage promoted the 21 but finished with the Hangman 8 as to scarcity..... The recreation I had Fujitani do for me.....many moons ago Nice copy! And I love that recreation. You had a few done right? Such great detail! (thumbs u I'm almost afraid to post mine for fear of dispelling the HA myth! Like I said ... almost.
  3. Like this one, Andrew posted some cool later Zips maybe a week or to ago also. The post Hero/serious tone covers are lighter in fare, but captivating in their own right. Yeah I definitely like the later Zips... though if I am being honest I'm more partial to the multi character covers like Steve's 38. And this... Yeah, that is a cool cover. It's the Pep 36 in the Zip run. This is it's cousin in the Top-Notch run: Ginger was the breakout star in Zip, Suzie was Top-Notch's 'Archie'. She debuted here along with a few others. Did someone say "Pep 36?" There it is! Love that copy Steve!! Here's mine. A bit crooked, but I love it just the same!
  4. Now that's a fine looking copy! I'd love to see more of your store stock!

I like the the Red Rube covers that ended the series too, but just not as much as the others.
  6. Oh come on now David, that was so page 121. Is that the same one you posted before with the label cropped off? great copy!
  7. Wright On! You guys are GOLDEN ... oh wait, that's me, and doesn't count ... maybe when I'm dead.
  8. Here's my IRS BR 10. A little water staining on the upper left, but aside from that, a solid copy. And I know it looks like tape up the spine, but it's not. Nothing there, just deceiving.
  9. Another hard to find one I'd like to acquire. And you've got the Larson no less!!! Sweet looking copy. Blue Ribbon had some cool covers in its own right. Agreed! BR has some awesome covers. I have an IRS copy of 10. I know the pedigree gets no love but it's a nice book. I'll try to throw it up here tonight. Another great book Steve! (thumbs u
  10. Wow, you just read my mind. I hear there is a 9.9 Zip 7 out there. Anyone ever seen it? Anyone here own it?
  11. I've got 14, but not scanned currently. I'm still looking for a 13 and 18.
  12. Thanks and awesome book!! One of my favs for sure!! I wish all 2.5s looked like this one!! Seriously! That's a fine looking 2.5. My copy is rough. Great purchase!
  13. Here's a few of my BR's that I have scans/pics of. No Larson's, but that last one ... well that's a Bert Rumait, and he and Larson were like !
  14. Thanks, I'm pretty pleased with it. It's a pretty common issue in the run, but it took me a while to find a good copy in solid shape. No idea what it would grade. Your Chicago is definitely a keeper; though if you ever feel the need to find another good boardie to sell it to... Actually my 4 is a great copy as well, but it's restored. I won it on HA back in 2006 for peanuts. It had a lower grade and it was labeled restored because someone trimmed the back cover (not a little but like a good half inch off the left hand side). It presented really well, and was not something that I considered resto, just some careless scissor work by a kid, but it was already PLOD so there wasn't much I could do. I sat on it for 6 years before finally sending it to Matt and Kenny who added the edge back and cleaned and pressed the book. Need to get a better pic/scan...
  15. Awesome copy! I wish I had some Pedigree MLJs! Most of my Church and Crippen books are Archie titles, but none of the super heroes. My Jackpot run is mostly mid-grade and one or two on the lower end ... but here are two of my nicer copies.
  16. Great cover... and actually one of the few books I am still looking for. Come across a few but they've always been beaters.
