  1. It was incredibly ambitious. That's a great word for it. It hit on several nice moments too. It would have been even better if Misty and her boss didn't have the EXACT same conversation a dozen times over several episodes: "Luke's innocent" "We've got to bring him in" "But he didn't do it" "But we've got to bring him in" repeated in the station, on the street, outside the club, over the phone, etc. The plot devices and thematic choices meant to drive the story forward were illogical and strange at times, especially for characters who are put forwards as criminal masterminds, but this is a show I wanted to enjoy and I did somewhat. Not as much as DD for sure, but that's a hard act to follow. No disagreement here, Chris. Maybe because she had to have the conversation with her captain and then all over again with the inspector? Here's a great list of easter eggs for each episode: Den of Geek's Luke Cage: Complete Easter Eggs & Reference Guide
  2. I thought it was Marvel's most ambitious Netflix show to date. To me, it played out as an ode to the Marvel comics of the 60s/70s, when the company wasn't afraid to tackle social issues head on.
  3. This would fit my definition of a black hole collector and would also seem to fit with the definition of the term in general: black hole - noun - ASTRONOMY ~a region of space having a gravitational field so intense that no matter or radiation can escape. informal ~a place where people or things, especially money, disappear without trace.
  4. This applies to the Giving Tree, the Iron Islands and most men on Viagra.
  5. You're right, Bed, Bath & Beyond will never appreciate the First Avenger. They'll always be comparing him to this guy:

  7. Finally added a great piece by Art Adams to my collection! http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1335798
  8. No one is "trolling" you. You're new to the boards, just pointing out that making that request to such an experienced facilitator could be interpreted as a bit insulting. Point being . . .you're in good hands with Rich, so you have nothing to worry about.

  10. Same here. They must be getting more than they bargained for by increasing the print runs..... Received a reply from Aspen that my orders were awaiting shipping and should be shipped by tomorrow night.
  11. I've yet to see any shipping information on the ASM covers. Contact Aspen?
  12. Daredevil claims the "Iron" Throne by Jason Copland. Thanks for the help, Court! http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1326902
  13. Okay, that's just inexcusable.
  14. Let me re-post their response, since you missed that part the first time: Hi Joe, The remaining copies we have in stock are in the same condition, which tells me that this is how we received all of these books. We apologize, but we will not be able to offer a replacement or credit. Thank you for your business! Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks, XXXXXX They won't replace it & they won't credit it. That's kind of the definition of "not our problem". You're correct that I didn't ask for a credit. I did only ask for a replacement, however their 2nd response about not offering replacement OR credit kind of directly implies "too bad, not our problem". Sure, I could still offer to ship the original back, but seeing as how I was told "no credit", why would I waste my money shipping it back just to not get credit for it anyway? That's just throwing good money after bad, as far as I'm concerned. Joe, I know the feeling. I'm currently going through a similar situation, however I have not been updated on the status of the remaining books in their inventory. I received 2 copies of items I was planning on getting signed tomorrow and slabbed soon as there will be a witness at the event. Now, I'm screwed out of that and the books sit in limbo as well. They were unwilling to respond to emails in a timely manner last week to offer any resolution and don't have any phone number contact to complete business in a speedy fashion. The artist event also has a discounted rate for signatures than his normal convention rate. Simple Google search provides you with their phone number: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=dcbs+comics
  15. Agree, overall a good story. The Mosaic hype and hoopla has gotten a bit crazy, but an enjoyable read.
  16. Why are people buying this for so much? All aboard the hype machine! Premier of new character, Mosaic, who will be getting his own book this fall.
  17. I weep for the current collector....... only if they 'need' that comic.
  18. That's a boardie i think Dre sumthing?!? Yes, Dre, aka BeachBum. I can only guess he walked in and requested old cases, because he has several new books all in the old case.
  19. I got 2 sets of the Batman 1...I presold one but the person I sold it to has been pretty patient and i'm sending him some bonus comics to make up for the wait. Oh and I missed out on the AM 15 but from what I read about the site problems i'm probably less stressed by missing it. I think this is what amazes me more. Currently 3 pages on eBay of people pre-selling (Spider-Man) books that they don't have in hand yet and are hoping they arrive in the condition they are attempting to sell them at.
  20. Get him off your radar and on the drawing board!

  22. I agree, Wonder Woman was pretty much a recap of DC's storylines for her over the past few years.
  23. Who accused you of trying to circumvent his respresentative?
