  1. I just can't fathom anyone looking up to an insane psychopath as an inspiration. Sadly some do
  2. I hate to say it. And not to contribute to any racial tension that may have appeared in this thread (maybe just in my head) but I am more comfortable w people relating to the villain in BP in Killmonger than people relating to the villain in Batman in The Joker
  3. To women - certainly. Most aa men, and even some women, I spoke with actually found kilmonger to be inspiring
  4. Wonder if the multiple mentions of BP last night at the Oscars will bring out more people to watch it this week
  5. This coming Halloween and future comic cons should be very interesting if only for the women of wakanda cosplayers ??
  6. In memory of the countless trees that were replaced by Turok 1 on our planet never forget
  7. I have no idea why but it showed up on an eBay email which was sent to me w the subject "eBay trend alert" usually those things don't include comics which was kinda odd so I checked it out
  8. I'd start with Titania's pose in the back
  9. Kick- #1 2018 Not too sure why but is moving like crazy on the bay https://www.ebay.com/sch/Comics/63/i.html?_from=R40&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&_nkw=kick++2018&_sop=16 esp the Jesse James exclusive moved quickly with 70 watchers already https://www.ebay.com/itm/KICK--1-2018-HIT-GIRL-1-JESSE-JAMES-COMICS-EXCLUSIVE-LTD-500-IMAGE-MARAT/401494246791?hash=item5d7aec0587:g:DjAAAOSwhj9ajkr1
  10. It does. For African American people this movie means a lot more than a super-hero movie. Something about this movie resonated with almost the entire aa community in america and I'm pretty sure that the majority of them are not super hero fans. any aa person I spoke with, either at work, online, friends, family... all said they either saw the movie or are going to see it. I think we need to start comparing this movie with other important movies that appealed to black folks than with super heroes movies. Probably too early to tell how it would rank in history, but I'm pretty darn sure it will be very very high
  11. I just bought some 80s comics journal magazine I found for cheap and boy the articles and ads in that publication took me back. Remember Critters 23 with Ty Tempelton cover, Moore story and flexi disk insert??
  12. I like the sound of that. I'll just do it for fun with no alterior motive ??
  13. It sure is. I've mentioned it a few times here but no one seems to care the 80s were full of small wonders
  14. Sorry Boss (co), wasn't referencing you in my post altho I quoted you
  15. Of course. Great book! Not rare by any means tho. But def one of my top 5 copper books
  16. I wouldn't look at either comic books or movie numbers as indication of popularity and success. Those numbers are solid as they're expected to be. Instead Just look at BP toys on eBay. There are more of those sold than Lion King for example.. and prettt darn close to Wolverine/deadpool. And there are far more BP merch being sold off the black market (as in bootlegs) down by me, on the streets, bodegas, subways.. as in tshirts key chains caps.. it's just a matter of time till BP hits musical lyrics and then it's a wrap. There have been countless successful superhero box office hits (thank god) but if u can't see the difference with this one try again
  17. I nominate Hellrazor to the list (ad taken from Comics Journal circa 1987)
  18. youre not raining on anyone's.. mostly avoiding sticking to the question But hey, whatever makes one happy
  19. Hypothetically Is Pocahontas a bigger property than wolverine? Is Lion King bigger? Just asking
  20. Those were probably people that saw the movie already
