When would you send a follow up email?
cloud cloddie replied to babsrocks31's topic in Original Comic Art
Lord. Lot of outdated sites. This is I guess the 3rd, most current website. https://tommandrake.wixsite.com/tom-mandrake I commissioned him a few years back emailing through this site, no issues. And I know whenever he posts new art for sale on Twitter, this is the website he links to. -
Not sure what games people are playing. You asked for examples, people gave, you explained them away. There are countless threads in the art forum detailing countless valid issues with them if you’re seriously interested in learning more beyond your positive experiences. Defending the Donnelly’s seems like a weird hill to die on regardless.

I have definitely overpaid on a few items at auction, because my collecting wheelhouse overlaps with theirs.

Comic art- turning the covid corner
cloud cloddie replied to gumbydarnit's topic in Original Comic Art
Gotta disagree with that. I’ve had the opportunity for commissions and art purchases the last few years, that I don’t think for a second would’ve happened if I hadn’t talked to and purchased from artists directly at cons to build up those relationships. -
Comic art- turning the covid corner
cloud cloddie replied to gumbydarnit's topic in Original Comic Art
For me and cons, it’ll mostly be about artists going. The last few years I’ve gone to a lot of them just to go, and hopefully I’d get to meet up with artists. Moving forward, if there’s no artists I’m interested in at a con, I’ll pass. Dealer booths and cosplay don’t do it for me. -
Part 2: A-Level Panel Page Valuations by Artist/Run
cloud cloddie replied to heartened's topic in Original Comic Art
If this list is based on “A” pages, you probably need to bump up Sienkiewicz New Mutants. Standard pages have been going 3-5 for a bit. But A pages are gonna be 5-10, and Demon Bear probably 10K plus. -

I have a few different books I have a good portion of that I’m pretty sure I know where most of the rest are at. Just a matter of shaking loose the pages, which as most know is easier said than done.

My main goal for next year is to put a book back together.

Share The Steve Rude Art From Your Personal Collection
cloud cloddie replied to Siege Perilous's topic in Original Comic Art
This thread reminded me I needed a Rude piece. Started reading Nexus last year, and love it. So I ordered this cover from his website. Gotta say, one of the easiest transactions I’ve had. Ordered Sunday night, got a thank you email from Jaynelle Monday as well as shipping confirmation with tracking, and I had the art Wednesday. Even came framed, which I was not expecting. Would not hesitate to deal with them again. -

The 2021 market forecast on value of CGC books
cloud cloddie replied to MARK1999GT's topic in Original Comic Art
If you’re asking about cgc books, the Art thread forum might not be the best place for a robust discussion. I have no onions on the matter. -
I picked up something for low five figures earlier this year and it has $100 written in the corner.
