  1. I’d rather have collectors and hardcore fans not alter art. For me, personally, these shows have done little to give me a better opinion of any of the dealers. Although premised to engage buyers in a new way and gain market visibility, it just seems like glorified price discovery. And seeing the same dealers and collectors buying all the pieces… just illuminates the networks that have been alluded to (and deleted) in previous threads.
  2. Never occurred to me they even sent emails with prices, seeing as how cagey they are with numbers. Those must be hysterical.
  3. I’ve stopped being surprised by current prices, and doubly so with charity auctions. But there’s a lot of respect in the artist community for both Asner and Pini, so I’m inclined to think this is an outlier specific to the auction.
  4. Looks like he reads the boards and the listing has been updated.
  5. Excalibur 21 cover. Sold 3.2.21 for 2988. Now available for 8500. Not sure if it’s been restored, but I’d be super po’d as a buyer if that dedication is still there, not disclosed, and covered up with trade dress… https://www.panelpageart.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1572
  6. On a tangential note, would you be covered by your own insurance for something like restoration? Would CIS or whoever cover you?
  7. IMO it should have been labeled as unpublished. Especially since another piece in the last auction was labeled with ‘The publication status of this art can not be confirmed’ (even tho a simple google search showed that it was).
  8. Pretty sure it’s still JJ, but they’ve been doing some stuff with 4C lately, so maybe reach out to them as well.
  9. The fact that so many have a visceral reaction to inclusion is why it’s needed.
  10. Interesting. Just checked my watchers. Was surprised by a few. Including you! Just followed you back.
  11. Sold 6.1 for 4666. 4 months later… 7500 https://panelpageart.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1463
  12. Well that was the easiest waiting room ever. They’ve updated a bit, and tell you how long the wait is now. 5 minutes for me. So I’m in for the experiment.
  13. Does live sales with Clan McDonald on Facebook.
  14. He doesn’t have time fo site updates, but has plenty for streaming sales every week.
  15. Threads tend to ramble on when the OP starts replying to himself…
  16. At Portland last weekend, they had a check after security for vaccinations. Gave a wristband to wear all weekend, so only one check needed. Relatively quick. Hopefully Baltimore is similar.
  17. Pretty chill Friday. Lines moved and it wasn’t slammed. Was hot as h**l early in the con, so don’t layer.
  18. Yeah, the page alludes to Deadpool’s first appearance. But that’s a crazy stupid price.
  19. There was a HA piece I missed out on months ago because no reminder text. Did their offer thing the next day for double what it sold for. Got a counter at 3-4x, said f it, I’m good. Figured they really wanted to keep it or it was a dealer. Appeared at coollines weeks later.
  20. If the page is going for market and you can afford it, why not? If this is the last and best page of a book you’ve been trying to put back together, seems like a no brainer. Otherwise, keep the pages you want, sell the rest, and move on. To put it bluntly, sound like this is your s**t or get off the pot moment.
  21. Does anybody know if there’s an option of having something framed shipped frameless? There are a few pieces I’m eyeing that I have no desire for the frames, or to pay framed shipping costs.
