Bob Layton is going for an obvious money grab through credit. Think he’s not gonna pursue getting royalty rights for every skirt he drew. Or chased. Iron man was always my favorite character but not because one artist drew him or one story defined him. It was because of who he was upon inception in 1963. What a ‘*spoon*’ Bob Layton is for claiming this so obviously false. And the rest of his pontification is the type of arrogance that only his mother should tolerate. And even then she’d probably laugh and say “ I know you are only 3 inches”.

Wonder if the pieces added included the logo and it was a logo stripped book. Hence the repop cover assumption upper white edge?

The 27 looks like a nice upper mid grade. Better than the 35. I would say grade before selling?

As high grade unrestored continue to nosebleed pricing. Nicely restored vs low grade lesser presenting books will be the battle for most desired

Probably why plod values are so low compared to unrestored. Too much dishonesty in the old school market. Disclosure to recover the market :-)

I get it. It just takes me out of the market. I’m not saying you should or shouldn’t. The market will dictate and if you don’t. The next guy will. Like pressing if money is on the table.

I will say that I will not buy a blue label obvious color touch removed/scraped book. It’s just unsightly and not a smart thing to do. It’s all a mental game of what people will accept or not and pay. That’s a type of resto removal I truly despise :-)
