  1. Two out of my three received 1/13/22 Moderns shipped 4/22 but the third is stuck in SforG and that's the one with 25 comic books.
  2. Good idea. I circled and wrote with Sparpie on my error slab as well since they have missed things in the past. My last return was turned around fairly quickly. Hope that's the new norm.
  3. He's going to have Economy Tier graded on Mars... Should speed things up #ReleaseEconomyTier
  4. ... Unless CGC has established a tear to be a common manufacturing defect, like this Wolverine Limited 1. I sent this back for a review and CGC graders claimed, yes, this is a 9.8. Of course many boards members and I were in disbelief when I originally posted this.
  5. Not the same as CGC bags. I believe these are available in mylar as well but can't think that mylar would have an advantage in protecting the slab.
  6. There's got to other explanations for pressed books coming back with minor creases. Three of the last batch of nine Wolverine Limited, all pressed by Joey so I know that they were done right, have notes with light creasing to cover plus light bends added to one of them. These weren't the most pristine books (bottom of my Wolverine barrel) but six came back in the mid to low 9's and the ones with notes were 8.5 and two 8.0. The only explanations I can come up with are that the creases could only be lessened with a press, but not removed or the books were mishandled by CGC. The bends are another story.
  7. I don't get it... just because a book is pre-1975 it gets no love from CGC. Not to mention that they charge a lot more for this "Economy" service
  8. My GEI graded and shipped today. Still waiting on the last 25 Moderns to advance. How long the wait for my two submissions in Economy is anyone's guess ????
  9. Modern Received: 1/13/22 Shipped: 4/22/22 Another 1/13 Modern = Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging Another 1/13 Modern = Scheduled for Grading
  10. This was a reholder from the cancelled Perez signing. Returned for major scratches on slab and bent corner on comic book. Lets hope that I don't have to send it back a second time. Nine day turnaround! Last ERROR took one month. 4/6/22 (1) MECHANICAL ERROR Shipped 4/15/22
  11. Seems that Prescreen are in the early release program with a bit of a time served advantage. My 1/13 Modern subs are still SfG.
  12. Gasses and possibly oils being released from the wood may be worrisome, but wood in an "old chest" may be dried out enough to not cause issues. I wouldn't do it, especially if it still smells of cedar.
  13. Also, storing in a firebox or safe is not a good idea, especially with regards to encouraging rusty staples.
  14. Getting grader notes for a 9.8? I smell a rat.
  15. Check out MYCOMICSHOP.COM They have auctions and many raw and slabbed books for sale and on consignment. Welcome to the boards!
  16. My NTT #2 just back from being reholdered due to the George Perez signing being canceled and it's heading back again for a redo. Big scratches on front of slab and a bent corner. Sound familiar?
  17. courgra-9913 .... all lower case, like the morals of this scammer
  18. Today (3/22) my Reholder moved to Grading/Quality Control
  19. How about a picture of your Venom so that we can help determine if it's actually a variant?... since you're not 100% sure
  20. Got my Options email on Friday (3/11) for my slabbed comic book that was sitting at CCS. Got confirmation email today (Monday) and status moved from CCS to Reholder (Option 4). That all moved along rather quickly. Hopefully will continue in that direction.
  21. Both of my comic books that arrived with bend corners (different shipments) were square in the holder... did not shift to the angle that you're describing during shipping, so the damage to mine was more than likely done in-house. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
  22. You think this overhang is from shipping? I've always assumed this damage was done during encapsulation. I've sent back two books with this issue and the last had minimal overhang. My last box of 25 had nine with scuffs, not from shipping because they were packed pretty tight.
