  1. Is it still the procedure to first contact customer service with the list of books to send in due to ME or are we now going directly to the submission page and filling out the ME return form? I heard somewhere that doing self-returns was in the works. Thanks, Joe
  2. Did you check for a bullet hole on the side of the box? Very strange. Only thought is that it wasn't lined up (fitted together) with the surrounding slabs and the box got a good bump or drop. Thankfully the comic book appears to be OK.
  3. You can return to CGC for a fix. Contact customer service and they will send you to the submission page to fill out a form CGC covers cost to reholder and shipping both ways. Be sure to write "ME" on all sides of box and add notes to the slabs explaining the errors so nothing is missed. Takes about two weeks.
  4. Thanks for all your help Mike.... Since we all love stories with pictures I thought I'd throw a couple in with a positive story that I hope stays that way as I open the four boxes that I received today. Largest number of boxed slabs that I got at one time. Have only had time to open one and so far happy to see 25 slabs with no scuffs or scratches. A few have Newton Rings, but nothing terrible. Noticed the new "Inspected By" stamp... just like the sticker on a new pair of underwear. Good to see. Almost 100%... One needs to go back, but considering the poor QC over the last couple of years this to me is a big improvement
  5. At least the publishing date matches the wrong issue number, so it's not entirely wrong.
  6. Here's where you'll find the submission forms... https://www.cgccomics.com/account/my-submissions/

  8. Per Mike: "Please send me the submission numbers along with this text. That goes for everyone else that have had books pressed and are receiving noted with finger bends, and a low percentage of 9.8's or lower grades than they were expecting. I will send in all of the submission numbers, text etc... and we will try to find out what is going on with unexpected finger bends and/or lower grades than you were expecting. Keep in mind, number of books, grades, graders notes submission numbers and any other comment that applies will give us a better chance to find out what is going on. If there's a problem, you can help to fix it by sending me the above data I have asked for."
  9. Spider-Man #1 poly-bagged books are sent in for grading with or without the bags and this has caused some confusion and mislabeling at CGC. If you want to make sure it's labeled correctly I agree that it would be best to send in still in poly-bag and have it pressed by CCS. I respectably disagree with The Meta about the 1st printing newsstand variant being sold without Poly-bag. One of us is right.
  10. Yes, it will be pressed, then graded and slabbed. As long as it's in CGC's possession, still sealed in slab, it will keep it's yellow label. Signature Series are pressed after signing (in case of rough handling by artist) then graded and slabbed.
  11. SS books are pressed after the signing by CCS (if pressing requested) so time wouldn't have been a factor.
  12. Two out of four... Received 6/30/22 25 MODERN 8/02/22 Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging 25 MODERN 8/02/22 Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging Other two soon to follow.. hopefully
  13. Nice book..... Can't really do much about the soiling which was probably the bigger hit, plus what are the chances that the book was already pressed after the signing?
  14. You'll need to call customer service but I'm pretty sure that you can not add services once the books are in their possession. As far as pressing goes, there are boards members with more experience who can give you a better idea of what to possibly expect but I can see some improvement is possible although the cost of grading will barely cover the value of some of these books. It all depends on why you're having them graded. You can post these on Hey buddy, can you spare a grade? to get an idea from some knowledgeable folks.
  15. Yup... First up on the list.... Tricky business.... too many reboots.
  16. CGC calls this tear on Wolverine Limited 1 a common binary defect of this particular book and guaranteed the 9.8. Only one of my 65 copies with this defect, but hey, who's gonna win an argument with CGC.
  17. That looks exactly like what CGC did to two of my 9.8 comic books, but thankfully just to one staple on each.
  18. Maybe should be sleep'n with the fishes.... if you know what I mean.
  19. They have been pretty quick at about 2 weeks, plus the one day shipping. Don't forget to mark the box with "ME" on all sides or it will take a lot longer. .... and marking with blue tape is a good alternative.
