  1. Yet... another silent auction. Bid came with 10 minutes left, so buyer had time to view all the details. No payment, no communication.... Feedback of 32... all nice... why can't ebay provide statistics for non-payment? Could the answer be $$$? nicolterraza_24

  7. This poor thing had the cover ripped at the staples... cover still attached. ... Also noticed that the tattooz insert is backwards... removal instructions in front and apply instructions facing wrong way....
  8. For your entertainment, seller relisted book in another lot...same description, not mentioning the imaginary subscription crease.... should I call him out on it again or would that be considered stalking and harassment? https://www.ebay.com/itm/MARVEL-Limited-1982-Lot-12-WOLVERINE-HERCULES-VISION-SCARLET-WITCH-1-2-3-4/292706947097?hash=item4426b19019:g:m1kAAOSwWlFbiqne
  9. To top it off, when I confronted him about his little fib, he accused me of stalking and harassment. Probably lives in his mom's basement with his "participation" trophies....
  10. Iv'e got a real winner to share this morning.... I sold a copy of Wolverine Limited #1 that was damaged with pretty good scuff marks on the cover (I had shown it on "Buddy Can You Spare a Grade" thread.) Sold for about $17 including postage to a bidder who has been low bidding on a butch of my auctions. After he received it I got a message with him complaining that the postal worker folded the package in half to fit in his mailbox. He complained that the cardboard I used wasn't thick enough (shipped nearly half dozen same way without any complaints) and then went off on the amount I charged for postage (which was about .50 cent more than what he charges.) Claimed that there was now a slight subscription crease. I refunded, by his request, money to cover the postage (I actually gave him a bit more). I couldn't believe that the postal worker would actually fold a stiff envelope in half rather than leave in on the porch, but this buyer seemed itching to leave negative feedback if I didn't work with him. After the refund he was friendly and actually left positive feedback. Here's the best part... about two weeks later (yesterday) I'm looking around ebay and check out this buyer's auctions and what do I find..... set of the four lower grade Wolverine Limited books with the one I sold him listed without mention of a crease and not sign of it on the photos (which were not of high quality). I sent buyer a message questioning the claimed damage and asking for better pics... he claimed that it was a different book and would sent pics of mine..... Total bull.... reported to ebay (whatever good that does) and blocked... He has since taken down the auction. First pic is my original of book, second pic from his auction. Oh, did I forget to mention..... pyrekhulk
  11. Thanks for the heads up.... but name comes up invalid... Please check spelling and upper/lower case.
  12. yes.... ultrapicky..... not ultrapricky
  13. The name alone gives the impression that he could be a pain....
  14. Art criticism aside, I see a line through the "X" and the lower part of the green belt
  15. Sorry, I wasn't clear... The lines were only on the front... all 20 backs are clear of defect/damage.... Wonder if the defect varied by region?.... or would they all have been printed and bagged in one place? Mine were picked up in So California... Bags are marked, Printed in Canada (assuming that's just the bag?)
  16. Thanks for all comments and advice.... All the little pointers really help. ...and Bob.... You can stop your Fred Sanford impression.... I say that with the utmost respect. I don't plan on doing anything rash or plan on cracking open the cases. I just needed to see what others thought and whether or not I goofed and, according to most, I did OK. If I was to press, not saying I will, I was considering someone outside of CGC and that would involve them cracking the cases..... In general, is it best to send slabbed books back to CGC for pressing instead? ..... Picked these books up in the early 80's when Overstreet had them valued at about $2.00 .... Unfortunately, five were all I can find from my friendly neighborhood comic shops......the fifth one with the bad water stain was talked about in another thread. Where was ebay ?.....about 15 years into the future....
  17. Of the twenty I bought fresh, only 5 had lines on the front
  18. Well... Sold on ebay with 11 bids. It was worth $12.50 plus postage to the lucky winner....
