  1. IMO there is no difference between bagged/unbagged/direct/newsstand except for the obvious price scan vs Spidy head and web color which appears in all versions.... If you can send bagged book or book and bag separated to CGC for grading that would be the only way to get the poly label..... although they didn't witness the book coming out of the bag so not sure if removing is an option with no other indicators.
  2. Probably because CGC is closed on the weekend? A nail biter, but at least it's in the neighborhood and should arrive by zero hour..... Good luck
  3. Thanks... and I wish that was the case. All mine are direct sales and like I mentioned all were bought fresh off the rack in 1990. I have non-bagged copies with both web color variations. Possibly all bagged books had darker webs but non-bagged came either way (and I know none were pulled from bags.)
  4. Cool that the one in question already has Liefeld's signature.
  5. Well, I had to research to see why it was submitted.... we both learned something new.... Cheers
  6. I have unbagged copies in both web colors (bought off rack new), so not sure if that's definitive.... Checked my books and my bagged issues have dark purple web and my unbagged are both colors (mostly dark purple)
  7. Not 100% sure if it applies to the green edition, but the price of the book may be on the bag and not the cover. ... I know that's the case with the Silver edition.... *Spoke too soon.... covers look identical....
  8. Been consigning slabs with MCS and am happy with their service and commission. Avoids the headache and possible trouble selling higher priced books on ebay.
  9. I just returned an ASM129 for recasing because when I received it from CGC it had three large scuff marks on the front. The CGC rep told me that the scuffs appeared to be either in the inner well or inside of the case (not sure how he could tell from the pics) and caused by vibration and friction during shipping. IMO rather large scuffs from what little movement would occur but they are providing a complimentary reholder so hopefully a clear slab will eventually be returned to me....
  10. Great idea. I noticed that the smell transferred to a new backer board so I’ll try that fix. It was stinking up the whole room so before I left for the holiday I put the book in a large box with a couple dehumidifiers and s small container of baking soda. I’ll see what that does as well. Thanks
  11. When you add to block list, if account is gone, it will show as "Invalid ID". Searching for user first only adds a step and would be the waste of time.
  12. Just picked this one up.... Cover detached from top staple. Opinions on grade and pressing and a way to lessen the musty smell.... Thanks for the help.
  13. Good to know... not that I would do that. What about statements in follow-up feedback? I would imagine, as long as one states facts such as "Buyer never paid", that would be allowed.
  14. Unfortunately, you can no longer leave negative feedback for buyers... only choice is positive. Of course, one can write a negative statement, but unless it's actually read, it's scored as positive.
  15. Funny that I found my #11 (1981-1982) Overstreet Guide today and first thing I did was look up IH 180/181/182 ... Sharing along with #12 (1982-1983) and #48 (2018-2019)
  16. Mouse over your name top left... click "Account Settings" ... under Account Preferences click Site Preferences ... go down to "Buyer's Requirements" and click Edit.... make it so...
  17. Here's the ebay link to follow-up feedback..... If you go to help on ebay and type feedback you'll find this info. https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/leaving-feedback-buyers/replying-feedback-received-item-sold?id=4102&st=3&pos=2&query=Replying to feedback you received for an item you sold&intent=feedback&lucenceai=lucenceai
  18. Great thread.... I've always loved these early pulps and the amazing artwork and subject matter. I only own this 1923 (vol 151 #2) Burroughs "The Moon Maid"...crumby condition, but complete. Apologies for the quick, crumby photo.
  19. If you were worried that the slab was tampered with you can rest assured that MYCOMICSHOP inspects every consignment slab for defects (cracks, external & internal scratches). I'm sure an altered slab would not get past them. I had a consignment slab delivered to them with a crack... they sent it to CGC for a replacement and covered the postage... good peeps.
  20. Somebody buy that darn book so that we can all call it a day.....
  21. Yup.... and this thread has gone so far south that it's heading north again....
