OK, I see what you're looking at.... Like I mentioned, it's production ink smears and it's possible that it was transferred from another book so you may see what looks like partial letters. The paper is totally glossy throughout so nothing was erased. Also keep in mind that things look a lot worse when you blow them up... that's why I avoid those magnifying make-up mirrors.

Are you talking about the front cover? I just took the comic out and had another look. Both front and back are glossy and smooth with no signs of writing or erased names. You might be seeing the bleed through of the advertisement inside the cover. Looking at this book in hand the only thing I would take away from the grade are a couple of spine ticks.

Thanks... I know about Newton Rings and there is a bit of that as well but what I am pointing out are individual spots that don't reflex light and maybe something like lint on Moon Knight's collar, hood and arm. Let's not forget about the scratches as well.

Thanks everyone for the input.... Took another look at the back cover and what you are seeing are some production ink smears and a slightly underexposed pics. Except for the print creases, which shouldn't effect grade(?), only thing I can see are a couple of non color break spine ticks. Here's a better exposed back cover.

Not easy to capture with a camera but these shots give an idea.... there is a big chunk of something on Moon Knight's collar.

I recently got back my copy of Werewolf By Night 32 from CGC and it arrived with a number of scratches on the front of the slab and quite a few marks between the interior well and slab. Looks as if someone could have sneezed on the interior mylar(?) cover. The more than a dozen other slabs that I have are all crystal clear and scratch free. Does this sound like something that is worthy to be sent back and have re-encapsulated?

Hi all, My question, besides an overall grade, has to do with the creases on the front over helmet and back lower left corner. Would the creases, which were in the paper during the printing process, be considered a manufacturing defect? How would this effect the grade? The comic is otherwise in excellent shape. Thanks...

Looks similar in condition to a copy that I just got back from CGC .... after pressing I was rewarded a 7.5 ... Sorry, scanner not big enough for full slab. Wish there were closeups of the other two corners for a better look.

bscheidjr Don't know if this guy was attempting the old switcharoo or what. He bought a comic for $5. ($10 with shipping). It arrived today, the 6th, at 12:25pm... but got a return request at 10:46am... Reason: Bought by mistake. Bid a few days before auction's end and paid day after. Shipped on April Fools day. Plenty of time to realize his mistake before shipping. 1:04 pm... My reply to his request: "Hi. Got a return request for Spawn #2 with reason being that it was ordered by mistake. Can you please expand on your reason to return because I can’t understand how this could have been a mistake. The comic is near mint so I hope it is returned in the same condition, mailing back using the same comic box. Thanks, Joe" Return request cancelled: 3:45 pm.... "I'll keep it." Might have realized that he was paying shipping both ways... or who knows. I was a bit leery about this guy after checking his feedback and items for sale. He had the same Spawn for sale at a similar price which was puzzling.... My Spidy sense should have kicked in and I should have cancelled his bid. Considering changing my return policy...It will affect my Top Seller rating if I don't accept returns, but may stop some of these scammers. What policy do you peeps have?

Figured it out, removed his bids and blocked. To be fair, he may be a well behaved buyer but has no buyer feedback and the only feedback he left for other buyers had negative comments. Don't need the potential aggravation.

I currently have two auction on ebay that are being bid up by a buyer with an awful feedback rating (70%)... Is it possible to block this individual while he has bids on the table? This guy scares me and is not the type of person I want to deal with...

Tear at top of cover is most likely a bindery defect and is maybe 1/32".... Too bad about the color break. Thanks for the opinions...

Has a couple small issues. Would like opinions on grading with small color break crease on lower corner and tiny tear on top of front cover. Thanks!
