  1. If you are attending the convention, I would go to the artist table first thing to secure a spot on the artist sketch list. After you have put your name on the list, then let the artist know that you will be back with the book after you get help removing it from the slab by either CGC or the Facilitator that is at the show. Once the book is removed, a witness will accompany you back to the artist table to drop off the book. When the book is completed, get the witness to go with you to pick it up from the artist. Use the link @Ron C. provided to figure out what facilitator you might use if CGC isn't going to be there.
  2. @awakeintheashes The YA novels by Justina Ireland center around V. Rwoh. If I remember correctly, she was the youngest Jedi Master ever in the Jedi Order. It will be interesting to see her lightsaber go into whip mode.
  3. I’m also interested in getting a sig from David Michael Beck.
  4. That’s great sig placement on that book. Love how the line from the Romita “A” stops at Spidey’s wrist and continues on the other side as if it was on the wall.
  5. Where exactly were the images shown to the public? I never saw them, even if they were incorrect.
  6. I was on the fence with the Black Cat label and the backside made me want to get a few on some books.
  7. @CGC Mike Is there a link to also view the backside of the labels? I noticed online that the Black Cat label has a different image (ASM 194) on the back of the label and was wondering if the others had different images as well.
  8. @miscus555 Can we please see the rest of that ASM 15?
  9. @xriddx Rocket Comics is facilitating for CGC signature series books. They will be able to help you out. I would window bag all your books you want signed before the show.
  10. CGC already charges $5 per invoice. So when you goof around with the system, they bypass the nickel and go straight to dime-ing you instead.
  11. Shipped a book USPS Priority mail from Anaheim Hills CA to Studio City CA (50 miles away) arrived 8 days later after going to OHIO 😂
  12. Graders notes would help. Not all books have graders notes. Have some sort of system the grader can speak into to provide the notes instead of writing them down.
  13. I sent an email today with the book in question. This book is currently getting a green label. How will I know if a decision has been made to encapsulate the book in a blue universal label?
  14. What label is given for a comic with a sticker placed on the cover by the manufacturer?
  15. IMHO the regular cover is far better than the variant. If I decide to buy this book, I would choose the regular cover. I believe most collectors would do the same. The demand for the regular cover is most likely greater than the variant. The price of these two covers reflects that. Variant looks horrible = 👎🏻 Regular cover looks better = Another example of this scenario would be the first appearance of the Illuminati in New Avengers 7 regular Finch cover vs Neal Adams variant cover.
  16. @ankeg79 Where was it stolen from? Location, city, and state would also be very helpful for others to help you track it down if it shows up locally.
  17. You asked me for an example, so I provided one l’m not claiming it’s labeled correctly.
  18. @THE_BEYONDER @ADAMANTIUM Campbell signed on the case. JR JR 04 signed on the book.
  19. The slabs were most likely sealed with too much pressure causing a tiny bit of the edge to chip/shatter. A little more pressure would probably result in a crack at the seam where the top of the slab meets the bottom. The typical places that I’ve seen this occur are the bottom corners or middle of the right side.
  20. Wouldn’t it also depend on when the blue label books were graded? There are blue labels books, of other titles and issues, that have signatures on them in 9.8. When did CGC start using the green qualified labels? These books could’ve been graded before those labels became available.
