    This is a Spawn 9 book and not a blank that was sketched on. @QalyarMcFarlane signed this book before Ash touched it. The sketch/cover up was done after to get a grade bump. I think the “Front” cover notation is a mistake and only the back cover was touched by Ash.

    @Lobstrosity It's crazy but, it may have been done to cover up something that would keep the book from a 9.8 otherwise.

    They made a “Return of the King” cartoon in the same animation style as the Hobbit. It’s been years since I’ve seen it. edit: It would’ve been better in the “Lord of the Rings” style of animation IMO.

    Couple of Ewan McGregor Signature Series books. First book is an eBay purchase in 9.8 that was cracked out. The second book is an OO book purchased off the shelf on the day it was released. I remember thinking to myself that if I ever had an opportunity for Ewan McGregor to autograph books, this book had to be in the mix.

    Looks like a small stain. Edit: thanks for posting that info on the book. I checked for the graders notes and was shocked that there wasn't any. I couldn't figure out why the book got such a low grade at first. I kept looking at all the edges and corners. Then I thought maybe in was in the interior of the book. I gave up. Few weeks later, I decided to scan the book and then I saw it. I quickly went back through my pictures of the books I sent in and realized that it wasn't there before.

    That particular comic is a Direct Edition with a store bar code sticker placed over the manufactured bar code. If it was a newsstand copy from Dark Horse, it would have Star Wars above the UPC and not Direct Sales. Here is an example of an actual SW Republic 65 newsstand.
