  4. He got the message http://variety.com/2017/music/news/gene-simmons-abandons-attempt-to-trademark-devil-horns-1202476097/ Gene Simmons has withdrawn his application to trademark the hand gesture commonly known as the “devil horns” or “metal horns,” less than two weeks after he filed it with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, according to Forbes. While Simmons’ attorney had not responded to Variety’s request for comment and confirmation at press time, multiple legal experts considered his bid a very long shot, and he received no small amount of written abuse from fellow musicians, fans and others.
  5. http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/ronnie-james-dios-widow-calls-gene-simmonss-attempt-to-trademark-horns-hand-gesture-laughable-and-disgusting/ Wendy Dio has slammed Gene Simmons's attempt to trademark the "horns" hand gesture as "laughable." The widow of deceased singer Ronnie James Dio, who's widely credited with popularizing the symbol — a staple at rock concerts for decades — told TheWrap about Simmons's trademark application: "To try to make money off of something like this is disgusting. It belongs to everyone; it doesn't belong to anyone. … It's a public domain; it shouldn't be trademarked." "It's laughable, I think, quite honestly," she continued. "I think he's made a complete fool of himself. "It's disgusting; what does he want?" Wendy added. Ronnie James Dio, who reportedly didn't start using the hand gesture on stage until after joining BLACK SABBATH in 1979, himself declined to take credit for the symbol, explaining in a 2001 interview: "That's like saying I invented the wheel. I'm sure someone did that at some other point. I think you'd have to say that I made it fashionable." Dio ― who said he got the gesture from his Italian grandmother ― also took issue with Simmons. "Gene Simmons will tell you that he invented it," Ronnie once said. "But then again, Gene invented breathing and shoes and everything else." 6. Kiss is my first band I ever liked , huge huge kiss fan BUT Gene is a douccche. He is all about squeezing every dime he can in sake of even the band . He is all about selling everything he can. This is just right up his persona. Total Jerk. Was always a Ace guy. And by the way Gene if anyone needs to trademark it, it would be Ronnie James Dio and his estate.
  7. Well I'm always at the old Bridge shows since that's right by where I live. Will stop by yo table to say hello if I am there.
  8. Bird , glad it worked out . Awesome. Let us know where the local show is . Some of us jersey guys can see them up close. Again congrats.
  9. I looked on ebay and see individual pages going for $600 each. Amazing.
  10. Yeah I understand leaving behind ASM 361 but not nfl super pro. The kind of sad part was a few weeks later I ran into broker and asked why the seller didn't want the book and was told that it was the house owners sons books. Was away at college. Sounded like mom sold the books without even telling the kid. Sounds like when my mom threw away all my baseball cards.
  11. Got a find story , few months old . Meant to post when I did the transaction but just forgot. Few months ago , friend of a friend who knows I collect comics calls me up and ask if I have an interest in buying a bunch of COMIC books. He is a real estate broker and selling a house for someone. They left behind a bunch of comics and just want them gone so they can sell the house . i say sure and we set a date to go look. I see 8 small boxes of comics. Look through and it seems to be early 90's marvel , DC and independent. So I ask how much do they want . Broker calls them up (they are already in another state) and they say $50 as long as you take it all. Leave nothing. So I do. Get home and its runs of Spiderman 300's Xmen 90's books. Web of Spiderman . Spectacular Spideman etc . But as I go through I find some goodies. First one is ASM 361 , that pays for the $50 . Find multiple copies of Deadpools 2nd App , Multiple copies of death of superman books. Spawn # 1 . About 20 copies of Xforce # 1 . And other decent stuff . Figure 500-800 books. Some pics below. Also found 2 bagged GIJoe comics. 3 books in each bag. Not sure what this is or any value. Again my first attempt at buying and selling.
  12. Been to all the old Bridge shows so far. All good. Try to make this.

  14. wow that room is as some one said , sick. Incredible. You could charge admittance . Just awesome.
  15. This has happened to me a a few times. Was a few years ago but once I got a book that usually goes for around $100 for $12 and got a message that the book was destroyed in a fire immediately after the auction. I asked fore the fire report and got cursed out for insinuating they were lying . . Next time it happened was told it was stolen . Again asked for a police report and was again cursed out. Once other time got a message like yours that the item was not in stock and they had a large inventory and lost track alot. That one I did not ask for anything and moved on. Thought that could happen. As for your case , I would just leave a Neg and move on, you will never get the item so dont let it eat at you . Ebay will be no help.
  16. Saw it today and really, really wanted to like it. Oh well. I just thought it was ok . I loved the characters (hope for a deadshot or Harley Quinn movie) but not this movie.
  17. I remember about 7 years ago my door bell rang on a Saturday morning. went outside and there was a package on my door step and the fedex or UPS (cant remember which) truck was driving away. It was a early AM overnight shipment. Urgent. Noticed the address was not mine. I called them and they told me that I can drop it off on Monday at any drop off. I told them it looked medical and they should send the driver back.,they person told me that they cant do that but can have a fedex / UPS truck come Monday morning to pick it up . I could not believe it. I got in my car and drove to the persons house., The package was medicine for there daughter and she needed it which is why they had it overnighted Saturday morning. Glad I did not wait until Monday to bring it back to the deliverer.
  18. New York Post killed it. Will still see it but man . http://nypost.com/2016/08/03/appallingly-bad-suicide-squad-has-the-lamest-villains-ever/
  19. Hope it all works out. I cant imagine the stress. Keep your head up and again hope for a great ending.
  20. I say as long as you do it safely and having fun then enjoy it.
  21. I was just watching SE7EN and reading this thread , Spoiler alert . J/K
  22. Looks like Marvel finally bringing Rich Rider back. Cant wait. Hope they dont ruin it. The way they are treating classic characters makes me nervous. http://www.comicbookmovie.com/comics/marvel_comics/richard-rider-returns-in-new-nova-series-for-marvel-now-a143356 Richard Rider Returns In New Nova Series For Marvel NOW! The one true Nova makes his return later this year with Marvel NOW! in a whole new series. Richard Rider was last seen in Guardians of the Galaxy (2013) #18-20 as Star Lord explained how he and Thanos escaped the Cancerverse along with the demise of Nova to Gamora and before that dying heroically in the Cancerverse alongside Star Lord facing off against Thanos in Thanos Imperative. Now Nova is to return as announced for a new Nova series to be released with Marvel NOW! later this year. The poster was seen in a Marvel previews guide. Currently there is no creative team mentioned but surely with San Diego Comic Con around the corner some news is to come out about it.
  23. In reference to the venom book , I would probably not have told the seller it might be worth hundreds only because that book (and only talking about this book) is notorious for counterfeits . I would not have wanted to tell the fella it may be a $500 book, have to give him $150 and send it in to CGC and get it back as a fake. Now as for asking for a discount on 50 cents . I would have just paid the 50 cents but we are not talking about the book selling for $20 and asking for a 10 $ discount. I also would never come into the forum to say it either. Best to always keep prices out of it. Just say you got a deal.
  24. Wow on those prices. Im curious how much the following would go for. Used to own it and wondered how much it would be worth if I still had it. Years ago purchased just the pages of AF 15. No cover and not the other stories. Just the AF15 pages. I did get a copy of the cover made here on these boards. Did sell it a while ago. Again curious how much a single page is worth and how much for every page. No cover.
