  1. Wow this show's ratings went from being in the toilet to being in the sewer with the C.H.U.D.'s. A big week over week drop (after an already remarkably weak Season 2 premiere) to a dismal 0.21 probably even has Fox executives wondering why, exactly, this pretentious, empty headed, vapid drivel was renewed. -J.
  2. Another 9.4 just sold for $7400 on eBay and a 6.0 went for $1800. -J.
  3. Nice copy! Very nice, can't believe it's a 6.5! -J.
  4. He has a few Euro only Spidey releases that are simply incredible. These are definitely a couple of his best. -J.
  5. Every one has their own personal set of preferred criteria and deal breakers when it comes to their collection, while others are just happy to have a chance to own such a high grade copy of a mega-grail. -J.
  6. I would imagine that prominent of writing would keep it from getting to a 9.6. -J.
  7. It's a false flag because the numbers reported are not in the public domain, and further do not take into account ancilliaries (which almost any Marvel movie would best any DC movie) so when you try to wade into those weeds you are not only dealing with incorrect/speculative data, but also incomplete data. Which is why how "profitable" a movie was (to a studio) usually only enters the conservation when it in fact under performed relative to other movies. -J.
  8. I wasn't trying to imply the book is a dumpster fire, I actually only pointed it out because I thought it was a still a strong price (GPA high) for a book that some might say does not have optimal "eye appeal" for the grade. -J.
  9. Ah yes- The famous "but some article says it was 'more profitable'" participation trophy that Wonder Woman gets for making less money than every single MCU movie last year. I hear Scott Mendelson's phone ringing again. (And I see you still don't know the difference between a marketing budget and the "media value" of a promotional campaign and are still spreading your fake news around here.) -J.
  10. A 4.5 with MC and rat chews just went for just under $11k on Heritage. https://comics.ha.com/itm/silver-age-1956-1969-/fantastic-four-1-marvel-1961-cgc-vg-45-off-white-to-white-pages/a/121814-12342.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 -J.

Hot damn Hulk 181: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Incredible-Hulk-181-CGC-9-4-white-pages-1st-full-Wolverine/263266078409?hash=item3d4be18ec9:g:qRIAAOSwH5pZ5PdK&redirect=mobile https://www.ebay.com/itm/Incredible-Hulk-181-CGC-9-0-WHITE-Pages-BEAUTIFUL-COPY-Looks-9-4-See-Photos/323178115681?epid=85340044&hash=item4b3eeab261:g:ly8AAOSwroZavVsY&redirect=mobile -J.
  12. Or, put another way, BP has now made more domestically than JL's entire worldwide run. I would like to see some of Mendelson's pretzel logic for that $300MM++ budget bomb now. -J.
  13. The top one is the reprint of the first appearance that happens in the bottom one. So technically the bottom one is the "more sought after first appearance of anti-venom" (since it is actually his first appearance). -J.
  14. That's a really nice cover. I'm going to definitely have to get one of these too. Nice pick up. -J.
  15. So then you didn't see Natural Born Killers? Or even War for the Planet of the Apes? -J.
  16. Holy carp. Knight got his FULL cover for $10k just a couple of years ago. I knew that was a great deal for him even then. Really paid off for him too. -J.
  17. Heeeeck no. Just basing it on human nature of how sellers price things. He's basically asking $300k, so he knows what they've been going for, and he sees the 2.5 right there on comiclink as well, three full grades lower, pending at just under $100k. The seller of the 5.5 already believes his price to be reasonable (and it basically is), but he will give a little to get the deal done. "A little" would be coming down $25k to $275k. -J.
  18. It's a beauty, congrats on snagging one of those. -J.
  19. 9.2 for just under $8k. https://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=748691 -J.
  20. J. Scott Campbell's obsession with Black Cat certainly hasn't hurt ASM 194 either. -J.
  21. "RRP" was/is a DC-specific program. Only DC books can be genuine RRP books. Unfortunately, since DC obviously never trademarked the term, other publishers have occasionally hijacked it, in a fairly transparent attempt to add a layer of prestige to their books. And certain other books are mistakenly called "RRP" by collectors. But there are only a handful of books that are legit RRP books, and they are all DC books. http://www.recalledcomics.com/DCRRPComics.php -J.
  22. Looks like you're off to a great start. -J.
  23. ASM 194 has been white hot the last 2 months: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Amazing+Spider-Man+194&_in_kw=1&_ex_kw=&_sacat=0&LH_Sold=1&_mPrRngCbx=1&_udlo=500&_udhi=1%2C000%2C000&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=15&_stpos=91604&_sargn=-1%26saslc%3D1&_salic=1&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=200&LH_Complete=1 -J.
