Well this has officially blown past Wonder Woman. It made a game effort but with star wars on the horizon I don't think this has enough gas in the tank to catch Homecoming or even Guardians 2. -J.

That's what you get when only two or three blue labels come up for sale publicly in a year. Like others have said, a "prettier" 1.5 might have broken $80k. -J.

I feel you. It was certainly funny and did entertain but the jokes were just too much. While humour is certainly a tried and true device for breaking tension a little in intense movies , non-stop comedy prevents any real tension from ever building up. Cate Blanchette was great as Hela but when the heroes are constantly joking with each other , and her, the villain is no real threat to anybody. I give Homecoming some slack because Spider-Man is a jokey character , but even he took the Vulture seriously , even when Iron Man didn't seem to. The best scene in that film IMO was the car scene on the way to the prom. There was legitimate tension in that scene. Even the right outside with Shocker was fairly intense with one little comedic release when Peter saw all the old gum under the seats and took the time to say "gross!". -J.

Like The Killing Joke, I feel like this would have been better as a direct to video or VOD-only release. -J.

Most 9.8 candidates will always hit the census first. #5 and #6 look to be the toughest so far. These are already individually going for as much as or more than #1 now so I suppose we will soon see how many survived the last 25 years in 9.8 condition. -J.

Of course there are plenty of 9.8 #1's, but of the others, only one copy each of 2-4 and no 5-6 in a 9.8. And one guy asking $799 for a complete set where half of them are 9.6's. -J.

This confirms the long time speculation. And it answers how the movie will be executed without a direct tie to Spider-Man. Or will it be ? It seems conflicting reports on the MCU connection are being deliberately circulated by the players in this project. This probably also means Carnage will not be the main villain in this movie. It will likely be all of the symbiotes forcibly spawned from Venom with the final villain potentially being Hybrid (first appearance Venom:Along Came a Spider #1). On a side note, I notice 9.8 graded copies from the Venom Lethal Protector series have all but dried up. I wonder what the FMV of a full 9.8 graded set would be now and/or how hard it would actually be to put one together raw and have them all come back 9.8. I would imagine that would be tough. -J.

Really you think that high ? This movie is going to lose almost all of its remaining domestic theatres next week and its China run is basically done. I think it will be lucky to hit $650MM by the end of its domestic discount theater run. -J.

If I was in the market for a copy I would have hit the BIN on that 2.5 at full price by the time the 1.5 was at $51k. I'm suspecting that's what happened , if the seller just didn't in fact pull it altogether. -J.

I feel like I should send @gregreecean edible arrangement of something for going above and beyond the call of duty when he sold my 5.0 three years ago.
