I agree with you 250%! I was kind of let down. SW movies are suppose to be fun, which makes them 100% re-watchable. This was kind of flat and even though it had some good parts and tons of edge cutting technology it just seemed bleech overall! They missed the title on this one it should've been "Rogue One and Done" Here's how I rate the SW franchise (in the order they were released): EP IV: 9.5 out of 10 (A True Classic) EP V: 10 out of 10 (One of the best Sequels of All Time!) EP VI: 8.5 out of 10 (Great start and finish, Ewoks took the wind out of it) EP I: 5 out of 10 (some merit in pod race and final Maul battle) EP II: 4 out of 10 (Barely any merit in the Jango Obi-Wan battle) EP III: 6 out of 10 (A nice space saga that was almost killed by the wooden Anakin) EPVII: 8 out of 10 (a nice breath of fresh air to the franchise) SW Rogue One: 6 out of 10 (seemed like a bland cake with EP IV icing on it, this would've ranked even lower if it weren't for the performance of Jones and the Tudyk in the robot K-2SO and the break free originality from the norm). There is just so much that could've been done with this movie with this much freedom and darkness. Vader was just a cameo? No Bounty Hunters? The rebels seemed more like a terrorist group - Which is more to real life, but Star Wars was always an escape from real life and this film seemed like a real war in the stars. The Rebels are a terrorist group. They're a group of armed resistance fighters in open rebellion against the legitimate galactic government. Yes, I understand that. But the other films really didn't focus on that realistic tone. Almost like storm troopers couldn't hit anything in Episode IV–VI so how come they are sharp shooters now? Is there going to be another movie that's sole purpose is to explain this - Like Vader knew all along that Luke and Leia were his off-spring and released a galaxy wide direct order to purposely shoot all around them just to scare them to the dark side... Is it me or did the colorist really screw the pooch on this ink job??? The guy holding him back from behind arms are inked to match the kidnappers coat, thus making a weird looking scene of mis-matched arm sets. -

Are we talking about nutty variants too? If so, has anyone seen one of these before??? This has a print ink error, blank interior cover, name stamp and is a NDS insert! How it normally looks...

The Official Doctor Strange Movie Thread
Wally's Comics replied to ChrisInBaltimore's topic in The Movie Forum
I thought this was definitely worth seeing on the big screen. It was a bit rushed in some moments though I felt. To me he went from having trouble to master the portal to kicking it way too quick. Mordo went to the dark side too easy too. Also it is hard from me to totally critic this film because I am seeing it after a hard days work and I felt like I was watching a movie on acid while looking at it through a trippy psychedelic colored kaleidoscope lens. I literally felt like I could squeeze the colors out of my eyes when the previews rolled. It's a 3/3.5 out of 5 to me. -

I could see the correlation. Both origin stories have a man trapped in wealth / arrogance and then being drastically humbled before unveiling their true destiny. I must admit I liked Strange's origin more in the comics though. One week left and the RT scores are strong, GO Strange! -

X-Men: Apocalypse set for May 27, 2016
Wally's Comics replied to Arsenalherd's topic in The Movie Forum
ok I finally got a DVD and watched this flick... I was ready to wince at all the bad this movie had to offer with all the critics destroying it. I must say though, they were WRONG! I though this was a decent movie and i can't understand the negative bashing of it. I mean it wasn't the best, but it was far from a dog. My rankings of X-men series: 1/ X2 2/ Days of Future 3/ First Class 4/ Apocalypse Now! 5/ X1 6/ Wolverine 2 7/ X3 8/ Wolverine Origins -

I don't know if this was intensional or not, but I noticed the contraption has a Jewish star in the gears and the fact that she is a blonde and wearing red and green (isn't that main colors of a nazi infantry uniform?). Could this be a nod to revenge of the hebrew dead? I just found it bizarre. Maybe I look too deep into things... -

I'm going blind looking at your books. They look like they came off the press. Damn Bedrock, that puppy hurts my eyes! Looks like you got some "cracking" to do still! Already done -
I'm on episode 4 (1/2 way I guess) The Direction of this series is a 10 out of 10 The Acting performances are very stellar! This is putting Winona Ryder back up to relevance. The story is a little campy, but then again so are a lot of 80's productions that they seem to be emulating are that way This has a Goonies, ET, with a sprinkle of X-files/Evil Dead type of theatrics. I love all the easter Eggs. The posters and little nuggets that show the fan hood of the director/writer. Note the love for one of the best horror films ever - not only is there a Jaws poster but the Sheriff's truck looks exactly like Chief Brody's (hell it even says "Chief" on the side)
