  1. better yet, I have a conference in Orlando in a month, I thinking of driving over and go talk to some one face to face about this. seriously over the last four submissions of 15 books there has been at least 1 book (sometimes more) that was messed up... That's a seven to fourteen percent failure rate for me alone. Hell, I have even nicer books that I'm almost afraid to slab because if this and that's just sad. Honestly I'd be embarrassed if I was part of a company produced second-rate workman ship like this.
  2. What is going on with the friggin' book edges during encapsulation??? I sub about 2 subs a year and on every sub there is some issue - either the labels are swapped or I've even seen a case where the book was in the wrong case all together. This problem is getting out of hand though. It's the treatment of the tip ends on the books. The book weren't subbed this way, but are getting crushed on the edges during encapsulation. Over the past I've been the hell with it, it's not worth the drama, effort or time to send this back and get cracked and pressed out. I'm changing my tune pretty fast though. These three are books that just said the heck with it and sent to cosigner (I just didn't want to tie these books up any longer) As such I deleted the the serial on these. #1 #2 Here's another Avengers 58 that I picked up under GP because of this defect (what the hell do these guys got against this issue???) #3 This one burned especially since this is heating up... This is what I got back today! I truly hate this! This was from a one owner collection that picked these up off the newsstands in the late 60's and cherished them. Not only that this has a cool color variant where the royal blue had less of a hit making the book a lot more purple. This smash instead of the bottom is on the top and goes all the way a few inches. Even if this was pressed again and re-slabbed I think the best would be a VF- This book doesn't deserve this and just leaves me shaking my head! If this was during shipping from sarasota then it's time to rethink the packing methods. (None of the other 14 books were effected though, nor was the package beat up???) This is beyond disappointing! I just don't get it, where is the quality control???
  3. I hope the studios at Fox either get a clue or sell the rights back. A movie that could build this franchise is a solo movie on the Thing and how he deals with it. Almost like a Movie based around FF 51. Once this character is solidified then maybe a FF movie could hold any weight. but I hope there is no more reboots!
  4. He doesn't have one. You really don't read the recent posts in a thread before you reply, do you? If you think I'm going to sift through a 1,000 post about this turd fest - You're Crazy! Anyway it's a joke so... Lighten Up Francis!
  5. This Movie's so bad Stan Lee wants his Cameo Back!
  6. honestly it really depends on how well the movie was written and acted then how they look... I mean take the recent Batman trilogy, the Batman costume got a lot of flack off these boards... Hell I was even talking trash about it. But those movies were pure GOLD! The new X-men franchise is smoking and in great hands I can't wait! Wally Reviews: X-men First Class : 9 out of 10 X-men Days of Future : 9.5 out of 10 X-men Apocalypse : I'm praying for NO collapse on the final trilogy segment (like Spiderman 3 was), what a colossal meltdown! It's like Sam Raimi said F' It!
  7. I might be alone, but I saw the front cover for Entertainment and I got pumped! Munn have never looked better!
  8. GR 3 was at the news stands so I guess your new nickname is... SON OF SATAN!
  9. This issue is where SilverMane bites the bullet... He drank a fountain of youth serum that continued to make him younger until he didn't exist... Then I was born...
  10. It was cool. Good popcorn flick. I could be wrong but this was way better that the Batman v Superman trailer looks. Is DC just on Crack when comes to movies? The DC Universe is so packed, why do they just focus on just certain characters??? looks like something to go straight to video. Anyway, good for Marvel and the fans of Antman, he will be a cool addition to the Avengers lore.
  11. Did you even read the thread, Wally? cut me a little slack, some people actually work on Fridays...
  12. The BA version of the book or the Modern version???
  13. I heard that Punisher might even make an appearance in the 2nd... I re-watched the Thomas Jane Dirty Laundry and it still gives me goosebumps on how good a solid effort can be!
  14. damn brother I hate to hear that... but we are just visitors in their world (the Mods), they shape these threads as they see fit. we just hum our silly tunes and play along with it.
  15. metacritic at 84 - looks legit sorry but that is just white noise ot me now because metacritic had Mad Max rated high too... fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! What am I missing here??? this looks like the female version of friggin' Mall Cop! Maybe half these critics are out west in Denver getting high as Balls before critiquing these flicks??? Did you see the movie? That might be what you're missing from your analysis. well that's obvious because it hasn't came out yet... I was referring to the trailer in which it looks like it desperately trying to be a twin to Mall Cop with the fat jokes and solo rambo style of kicking arse in a goofy way. If this is any good, the trailer would have at least one good laugh right??? I am starving for a solid comedy, I go see stand-ups on a regular basis and I saw this trailer I winced at the poor attempts at over done cheese ball slapstick. Anyway this thread is about Mad Max, so everybody praise away...
  16. metacritic at 84 - looks legit sorry but that is just white noise ot me now because metacritic had Mad Max rated high too... fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! 17. RT has just about lost all credibility now... They have Melissa McCarthy's goofball looking "Spy" currently at 100%!
  18. and that's awesome brother, I know I'm in the minority... so folks that love this stuff can rejoice because with the success of this movie Mad Max 5 and 6 are a given. So enjoy! I guess I'm just a little spoiled over watching the DareDevil Show where they had so much character development that you even cared for villain Kingpin even though you knew he was evil! Now that's friggin' awesome!
  19. Here's what a 98% is all about... This scene highlights a lot of emotion. In Fury everyone was stripped of that... Notice the dog gets scared once Max had to turn of the juice meaning "here come the bad guys" - Brilliant!!!! Hah! even Max's dog had more personality than anyone in Fury Road! I'll just stick to the classics!
  20. o.k. I know there is already a Mad Max thread, but I must be missing something... Almost to the point that I feel like I didn't see the same movie that everyone else is raving about. Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie - it just takes a lot more in my opinion to be great... This movie reminds me of something like Avatar where the presentation is very beautiful and the shots were grand and the stunts/special effects were smoking!... I just don't think there was a strong plot and that's HUGE when trying to paint a movie a classic. Yes I know, that they were just trying to find something better, but there was hardly any character development and with that there isn't any emotional investment in any of the characters. That's what makes classic movies. Take the pretty decorative film making away and this movie would be surely doomed. For example look at the 80's Mad Max like Road Warriors and there is plenty of character development and hardly none of the flash that was in this movie... There was the guy that flew the mini-copter, mad max, the dog boy, hell even the villain with assless chaps had more depth to offer than any of these new characters. So paint me in the minority. I give this movie a fun pop corn rating of 6.5–7 out of 10 which is generous since this is basically an action chase movie with tons of style, but unfortunately no depth.
  21. think of it as one long movie honestly the production, the tone, I have to say this makes the Avengers and the other movies look like I've been watching a cartoon. I'm definitely rolling my eyes at Cap's and Thor's one liners now. I have to agree on that! (thumbs u
  22. I took my time and savored this show. Man I'm glad I did... I watched the last two episodes tonight and what a wild ride that was. I need to read more DD, this solid show is making me more of a fan!!! I got the Fever and the only prescription is more DD!!!
  23. Where's the issue? Book looks like a 2.0, there is color touch and CGC decided to not purple label it (which they are allowed to do per the back of their label). The only issue is I don't see where the tape is. you learn something new every day I guess... I didn't know the purple label was discretionary. I stand corrected.
