Wonder Woman 204 1st Nubia. Not exactly "heating up" but a book to keep an eye on as they're not listed too often and could be a monster if there's a movie appearance....
Appearance in what movie? We can say that about any character.

Here it is -
http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=59210
The report confirms that both "Amazing Spider-Man" star Andrew Garfield and "Amazing" director Marc Webb are out
Sources also claim they are changing her name from Gwen to Gwem, so the old school collectors will stop belly achin'.
Those two actors look awfully light skinned to play Miles Morales.
-
That is funny because I see a lot of things posted that don't have anything to do with comic
book heating up but ok. I am just trying to get info. Thanks for the advise.

The Lexus book?? or the Movie tie in comic for Iron Man and Hulk would be his first print appearances, but neither are 616.
There is a mini comic that was distributed exclusively by Wal Mart in a DVD that came out before Iron Man / Hulk / Fury.
-
Lets just get Miles in a cameo instead of Stan just so we can see UF#4 tear the eBay charts apart.. All in favor say ayyyyye
Already selling for $20 in NM.
How many of us have seen a fat stack of these in $1 bins?
-
Miles is Peter Parkers future.
I bought two last night just in case . Im also on board with Battle Scars #1 and Batman/Superman #8.
What's the deal with Battle Scars #1 and B/S#8?
I thought the whole Colson thing was dismissed and pushed onto a give-away from a Walmart special...
Edit: Superman/Batman #8 1st Kara Zor-El Supergirl
For one person the WalMart book is Coulson, not the masses.
-
He also officially gets kicked off the team in #318, if anyone wants to start scooping up those hot mamas.
Pass on something like that.

Back on track . . .
More importantly, I think we're seeing an overall increase in average price per book. The market is strong.
eh, $5-10.
But there is demand for a Superman book which is hard to come by for Copper or newer.
Can someone translate this post for me?
Sorry, here you go:
-
A lot of strong sales on SIlver Surfer 44:
(many BINs in the $20s as well)
And a lot of $5-$8 type BIN activity on 45, 47, 48 and 49.
For some reason 46 isn't doing as well. I would have thought Warlock on the cover would have helped.
So it's not just "the most important Thanos books" of 34/35 anymore.
The Thanos issues in the mid 50s don't seem to be doing as well. I don't know if by the third Thanos/SS cycle those were ordered in vastly higher numbers than the books in the 30s and 40s.
1st Infinity Gauntlet makes sense with the tie into the movies. Although I don't remember the Cosmic Cube getting a bump like this.
I think by the third run of Thanos arcs the value drops out a little, nothing in relation to print run. He is also more saturated around that time, also appearing in Warlock & the Infinity Watch.

How about Avengers vol 1 #316? This is where Spider-man officially becomes an Avenger!
Did I miss some news about Spidey joining the Avengers? I thought that Marvel was going to use the character in their movies and help produce the next Spidey film?
Wishfully connecting the dots.
Ahhh...... I wouldnt put it past Sony to break away from Marvel once they kick start the franchise again. If you really want to get crazy start following the dots to Secret Invasion...........
For Marvel? I don't think that's crazy at all for the first Inhumans movie.

Yes, the Hulk left after the first battle, as did Strange & Namor. They all 3 got back together in the next issue (which I am assuming you didn't read either).
No, I have not read them. In fact there are lots of books I havent read. I even own a lot I haven't read. I'm strictly going by information that I have found and I think I have presented a good case. Of course the context of the story is very important.
Basically, as important one could consider the two Sub-Mariner issues (I personally don’t even have them and I am a huge fan… ) the Defenders is a "non-team" summoned by Strange almost "by chance" in unusual situations of danger. This happened first in the story arc I mentioned, and from which Thomas got the idea. If one reads the story, it will be easy to see it is a very relevant and important story for what the Defenders would have been later on, a lot more than the chance alliance happening in Subby #34-35 between them alone (without Dr. Strange), but of course one might want to have them all, and understandably.
What I was surprised about, is how much #34 and #35 were sought after, as the original story arc of Hulk #126, Subby #21 and Dr. Strange #183 is truly "quintessentially Defenders" even if it is just the ideal context from which the idea would have stemmed. Much like when Thomas inspired by Warlock turns him into a full-developed character, and christens him (previously just "Him", almost unnamed).
Very informative, thank you for the history!
I also ran across what is probably a better description of Sub 34: Leads into Defenders #1

41k for Squirrel girl. Really?
Low or high? Seems low for the supposed hype.
-
Back issue resale is still pretty good . Issues 2-6 are selling on an average of $15 an issue. There's still demand for this series
At cons or something? The only one I'm seeing approach that is #2B and maybe a #3B.

Daredevil #168 CGC 9.6 @ $327 & 20 bids.
Avengers Annual #7 CGC 9.6 @ $225 in a BIN
Sub Mariner #34 CGC 9.8 @ $727 & 40 bids.
Some interesting auctions. Congrats to the buyers and the sellers. (thumbs u
Calling Sub-Mariner #34 1st Pre Defenders is basically a lie.
Just curious why you feel that way? It has been thought of that way for at least the last 30 years. It is listed in Overstreet that way under Sub-Mariner 34 & also noted as a pre-appearance under Marvel Feature #1. I understand everyone has their own opinion, but this one seems pretty obvious.
It also says it on the CGC label. Can't pin this on the seller, though if you want to call CGC liars, that's fine.
sub-Mariner 34 features Subby, Hulk and Surfer. The Original Defenders are Subby, Hulk and Strange and Hulk leaves in the first issue according to the wikia.
So two members appearing in the same book constitute the "team"?
As an example, did Iron Man, Hulk and / or Thor ever meet before Avengers 1?
I'm assuming that you have arrived at your conclusion without ever having read Marvel Feature #1? In Marvel Feature #1 (The 1st Defenders) Strange seeks out Namor for help.
Namor agrees to help & suggests they locate The Hulk & Silver Surfer because the had fought as allies in a previous battle. They were able to locate the Hulk but the Silver Surfer was unconscious after trying to break the hidden barrier that trapped him on earth. So they went into battle without the Silver Surfer.

Deathstroke #1 (1991) NM- SOLD for $63 http://www.mycomicshop.com/search?ItemID=27166580
Graded?
Ive been moving this book raw for $20-25 for over a year now.. Not often but still.. Not hard to believe that it would catch fire soon.. Zack's cover is just badass
i feel like i have a dozen of these somewhere as my old LCS dumped them in the 25 cent box at some point in the late 90s...i'm sure i didn't put boards in them so they're all VGs now
Consign them with Divad
I never thought this book would hit that kind of number raw. Passed on it many times under $5.
In other news, here is a good example of a horrible listing for the seller:

Sunfire Big Hero 1 seems to have cooled. Bummer, as I still have a nice copy. But a sequel should be forthcoming...though it might be a while. My son loved it, but he loves everything. Anyone think some of the cooling comes from the beymax character not being so recognizable in this version of the comic?
Nope.

#256 is somewhat difficult to find in 9.8 with a nice wrap, etc., etc.
I've been looking for quite some time. I always get outbid on the nice ones...
Agreed, I had a small stack and I don't think any did not have the cover coming around to the front.

ROM would never be in a movie, wait what did Gunn say?

She-Hulk #1 disappearing fast when "the view" announced the new Marvel series, A-Force, an Avengers team lead by She-Hulk and Dazzler.
Mey, why not?
Gotta love it when those late 70s #1s that were formerly dollar bin (or just above) material pop to be $40+ items.
She-Hulk 1 has been a steady $20-$40 seller for quite some time.
I must be getting old, but I can remember not that long ago when I was buying these, Ms. Marvel #1, Spider-Woman #1 and other late 70s Marvel female character #1s in auction lots with multiple copies for a buck or two per book.
If only we could see the future.......
