  1. Interesting, there have been a lot of sales recently. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=astonishing+tales+25&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc
  2. There isn't much demand for "death" issues. Heck, the death of Batman can be had for $3. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=ADVENTURE+COMICS+462&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc
  3. Holy beejeezus - couldn't give those away just a few years ago. Great book, classic Marie Severin/Wally Wood art. Was looking at a stack of them yesterday thinking it was a shame that the book was never recognized. I agree, but I doubt I got more than $40 for my OO set . . . Well, truthfully, the book lost a lot of steam after Wood left after the first issue. But that first issue was sweet! Was watching that #1 and didn't expect it to go over $30 sheesh! That tough black cover! Cat / Tigra / Hellcat, it could end up being a major key Avenger movie-wise Yea, The Cat eventually becomes Tigra, doesn't she? There has been some specualtion talk of her in a movie or TV.
  4. wonder if that will spread to Powegirl? Power girl just got a reboot which I suspect will do very well with current market trends. I'd say hold on to your All Star Comics #58 for just a little longer Power Girl became popular over a year ago, just like Huntress.
  5. I'm not seeing the trend...looks like a bunch of runs or standard value for a Cap from that era  Maybe here?
  6. Why? Do they contain out-of-context, non story related previews of new characters? They actually have original stories. I'm not sure if any characters are introduced, though. I'm also not sure how much potential these have to catch on. #3 has possibly the first appearance of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse all together with Apocalypse. It's basically the same image as the cover of X-Factor #19. Ive bought several Marvel age comics for that reason. No one has ever valued them. I can usally get them for 2 or 3 for a $1 currently. If its in high grade and features a 1st appearance I pick it up. I got a nice pile now. I have one that I bought for $0.25. I also picked up the Inhumans one with Medusa and Black Bolt in the cover advertising for the graphic novel.

  8. You think 98/99/106 is undervalued? They're reprints, I think when high grade versions start to equal the price, or close to the price, of low grade versions the ceiling is hit. Yes and were not there yet. The most interesting part about this to me is that DC just sat and watched Marvel reprint old stories for two decades. It's a testament to the brand of Spider-Man vs anybody else. Alright, then I'll sell you 98 and 99 (low grade copies) for $40 shipped. Why would I want low grade copies for that price? We were talking about high grade copies and currently high grade don't sell for much more than that.

  10. Because collecting these days is also about rarity. GPA on 9.8s anybody?
  11. This is insane IMO! Not sure what the accepted offer was on this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvel-Tales-106-CGC-9-8-1st-App-of-the-Punisher-Reprints-ASM-129-/111531669252?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item19f7ce3704 Guessing it must have been somewhere within $100.00 or less of the asking price. Why? Why? Spend that much on a reprint when you could get the real one for this: (not my auction) $250.00
  12. The character and world building was cool but the stories about characters that you now actually care about is making it better imo. It was very hard to follow at first, at least for me. But it was important because now you know what each character is up to and the larger picture story is really shaping up.
  13. I pick up 94 when I see it for $1. I see dealers asking $10 for it, but the bay begs to differ: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sop=1&from=refine&redirect=mobile&_nkw=New+mutants+94&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc 86 sells for more than $1 http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=New+mutants+94&_sop=1&LH_Complete=1&redirect=mobile&LH_Sold=1&from=refine&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR2.TRC1.A0.H0.XNew+mutants+86&_nkw=New+mutants+86&_sacat=0
  14. Still hot. I'd take a rain soaked copy of 13 over an autographed Spawn #1 any day. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Malibu-Sun-13-Spawn-by-Todd-McFarlane-Introduction-12-Rust-Comic-Retailer-Book-/171628773619?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item2 Looked great, until I saw the shipping price.
  15. No need to hurry grading them with the quick turnaround times on books these days.
  16. Yea, what were they thinking? Nobody would do that today.
  17. Maybe it is because so many superhero movies are coming out, but I found the trailer very... ordinary. Pedestrian. I had thoughts of Green Lantern when I watched it. That's okay though. It doesn't need to be a major hit. Just like the first Thor and Captain America movies, I hope it finds it's own voice and does well enough. Guess you guys didn't click on the link. hey, I tried Ha, snuck that one in there.
  18. Got a hunch its not about Red Dawn. It's about Jim harbaugh Looks at original post, looks at reply and users avatar
  19. Unbeatable Squirrel Girl? -slym Ant Man? Yes, the hot books are: Captain Marvel (Danvers) Ms. Marvel Spider Gwen And Ant-Man
  20. Everybody, we can beat the hype train. There's a book coming tomorrow. Just sit on the 50 copies you buy for a year then reap the profits!
  21. I am surprised since it was hyped quite a bit before publishing. Myself, like others probably had no care for it because of how hyped it was. Then the story was actually decent.
